Have we thought about a flux in rewards yet? People are drawn like idiots to gold (sorry for insult), so if we could get around to doing that, everyone will be focused on where the rewards are currently maxed out.

When you roll the best team on opponent side who not only has 10 layers of defense (empathy, bflash, shield of force, stances), but also an elite ele with them and yet end up with a score of your 100 vs their 300 once the fight is done, you start wondering what the other 8 are actually doing.
why bother if your allies are worse than cannon fodder.

That's why I usually click through allies pre-match to see if there are teams who would likely end up as such cannon fodder. If there is you can split your own team to ensure they win their skirmishes. Ofc you lose out on a chance for one of those interesting ta-style opening skirms yourself but at least you save yourself the annoyance having to fight 4v8 and lose horribly later in the game.
I must admit I was partially casual-moding AB yesterday being so excited to see it come back to life, I'm not sure we played at our tactical best when we took on that team with elite ele in a skirm. Sometimes you feel confident to try and these small encounters are rather fun so you do it anyway. But the elite ele packs a considerable punch and our allies were obviously in need of rescue.

Winning is fun. Just because others play like asses doesn't mean you have to do the same. And being riverside and guru the obvious needs to be said: In no game do the 12 others team up as one and run circles for 15 minutes. This may happen in your head but in game this never happens.

Rewards are terrible for time spend. I'm not sure why AB got left behind when they improved the other kurzick/luxon faction gaining methods.
A strongbox for winning would be cool too.

Maybe 3 consecutive wins during AB days could make it more balanced...

it would be more popular if it was intuitively located on the pvp islands. so more people know/remember it.

Exactly this. Losing in FA gives 2500 points and loses in JQ( except when it's 6 warriors against 8 monks) gives you around 2000 points ...
However, i'm not sure if a strongbox would be " enough" to make it popular and not synced completly on empty hours. I think people, aside of having fun, will play for the title rather than an other random item to sell at an abusive price( which means yay got my pet --> Kamadan --> selling new mini xxx ectos)...
AB is on theory harder than FA/JQ, twice harder than SC vanquishes and has longer times than other formats( 12 players) and naturally should give more rewards...
I would say that it should just be proportionnal with time invested/difficulty in order to not make JQ/FA inactive compared to those... A 6000 points/victory seems quite enough for me

Personally, I stopped playing because it only ever swapped between two maps.

Rewards are not going to make AB more fun it will just give people a reason to exploit and roll it....Rewards are a half @$$ fix that only provide activity as long as the novelty of the item lasts.
AB format is old style with few maps left practically unchanged since Factions came out... it needs to be freshened up and made more efficient.... Most people play games for fun and don't play formats that the don't find fun or make you spend a large amount of time waiting.

I stopped playing it when it got stuck on the same map for ages. In my opinion one way that would improve it slightly would be to rotate the maps so once every 24 hours it resets to Saltspray Beach or on the 3hr mark it just rotates cyclically through the 5 maps. A better reward for winning would also improve things but as to what i'm not sure as most things would be open to abuse. Although maybe adding a title for it could make things better and would give people another PvP title option other than Zaishen or the others which is alot harder for people to get into.

I the only way it would become popular again would be if they got rid of the point system they have and make it to where if you win you get a a set amount and if you lose you get a set amount. What I mean is to take away the bonus you get if you are farther in Luxon/Kurzick side. Also a way would have to be found to get the maps to change, nobody likes playing the same map over and over. And for the past I don't know how long the map is pretty much the same place.
I'd love to play AB again though, but honestly it will never happen. Not at this point in the game.

.......and then what?
People are sick of the old round table format. Couple how groups are put together, wait time, WE NEED A MONK!!, etc.
We're gonna need something better to bite on. Faction ain't enough.

AB was one of the reason I still played the game, always fun to mess with build and play with friends would be nice if people played AB again. Also reason AB is dead is because Luxons won the war a long time ago.
