I keep looking at that scarf and then noticed that my rit who has the raven heart costume also has a scarf...and I wonder.....
and then the grenches are dead and I open the chest...NOT seeing a mpb ...(15 trips and counting).
I miss the grenches...so I do the strengh of snow to see them again...(perhaps something is going to happen during the finale????--one hopes)

I hope you learned your lesson about purchasing virtual goods xD
The hats look like they might salvage the event. They look good in screenshots but actually having them in game could be a different story. Clipping issues with certain armors worry me.

Love love love the scraves. I'm crossing my fingers for them to be dyeable though. Seems like a waste only to have them in a few colours.

I far4med winter wonderland a lot, since I decided to get a second GWAMM and can use the rewards for that. A few hours also spent chancing for the polar bear. Snowball AT and fight I completely ignored because of bots and cheaters.
I really miss the gifts dropping in town and the run to bring some to kids before the grentches blow them up. Why did anet remove that? To me its an old tradition to run a handful of gifts to the kids every year! The reward isnt fat, but maybe that was also exploited by botters? and then removed instead of sending dhuum after botters?
I also did the old wintersday quests once, its both fun to be a grentchie placing luremined gifts around and after that helping to liberate the raindeer and help Scrappy Jhim build the greatest snowman ever. The reward is close to nothing but to me these quests have a value, I enjou doing them at this time of the year.

Running gifts to Scrappy Jim was always a pleasant diversion, not to mention a constructive way to use sweets. Especially on Monday morning after the finale when everybody is burned out on Wintersday, I greatly enjoyed outrunning the grentches, and I had Lions Arch almost to myself. My wife and I are very much disappointed that the grentches are gone. Sigh.

I'm curious if we will see a new effect similar to Mad King's Fan this Wintersday. Guess we'll know in a little bit

I just got all three scarves from Grenth. I wonder if Dwayna gives 3 versions of the hood as well.

You only get the one hood from Dwayna. Its got some clipping issues, though I suspect both of these items are rife with them.

So the most important question: Is anything dyeable?

To be fair, it looks ridiculous with that armour anyway.

lol....oy
yeah clipping issues....
scarves cant dye....and why THREE of them vs one ONE of the (dye-able) hood?
one dye-able scarf would have been plenty and something other than yet another hood!
could have done earmuffs or a stocking cap....which would not have clipped (except hair of course).....guess the good designers have all gone to gw2.

I think that hood is going to suit Norn armor really well if it will dye in similar colours.

Well, hats are ok this year( more christmas spirit than last year), but i'm still quite amazed that the whole event was dedicated to abuse new quests a lot for the reward only :
- Snowball Arena was quite empty( i had to see it to believe it really...), it was mostly good players who were playing( can't really say sync when noone else)..
- Snowball At's had probably 80% guilds not playing seriously, only for the reward
- 2 PvE quest were farmed to hell for easy tonics( Snowball dominance and WW) while PvP one was synced to hell for easy skillz title

People are trying to make getting wintersday hats more like the halloween method which is by city, not district. Its been like this for a while now.
