Oh. yeah. Were I live it gets cold, but it never snows. So in-game I'll be trowing snow at people in PvP.
I wish there was some kind of consumable to do that in outpsots too.

It's been a while since I played but I thought some of the quests gave candy cane shards as rewards. Or am I mistaken. I thought in years past I had lots of those in my inventory but so far only have 16. And I haven't seen a quest that offers them as a reward.

They changed a lot of the quests to give Wintersday Gifts as a reward instead of shards. Running the snowmen dungeon quests still nets a lot of cc shards though.

yeah a lot harder to get shards now (grentches used to be a good way to get them too), I have only gotten about 7; the rewards were changed...so now doing mpb runs is just about the only fast way to get shards
I still miss the grentches

Even with the changes this year to the event it's still boring. I only hope the new hats can turn it around but my hopes are not high.

Just got my envoy staff a few days before Wintersday started after grinding it for months. I'm on a GW hiatus now, so i'll only get the hats and that's it.

I thought something was missing. They removed the grentches and gift spawns from the festival because why?

What I would like to see is are deaths in the festival quests NOT reset the survivor title, just like it doesn't in the PvP mission.
Aside from that, running all my chars through the quests, and do some farming in the Strength of Snow and Kilroy dungeons.

I wish A Very Grentchie Wintersday was fixed in Divinity Coast. No amount of speed has let me save Necromancer Skorzena. Why is there a level 2 NPC in a level 13 area? The WiK guys totally slaughter her.

Well, i'm mostly doing snowball AT's and i'm astounished at the number of guilds with 1 guy using several accounts( with a score of 2/4, you get roughly 20 rps, so that's as if you were in playoffs with 5 accounts...)... It's besides quite annoying to see afkers getting to playoffs, especially due to luck and tiebreaker issues
I'm noticing less bots this year, but there are almost no real team playing around apart of top ones( MoO, idqd, hf, etc....) and this is leading to quite a boredom due to players only here for the reward...
Apart of that, i'm hoping some nice hats that will have a link with christmas spirit..Some kind of hat with fir, or like garlands could be nice

I actually kind of like the look. The spectercles and furrocious ears seemed more simple and slap-dash to me. Looking forward to seeing the actual implementation of the s*****s.
For those interested in the translation:

The spectercles and the furrocious ears at least had the justification of it being Halloween, so kooky costumes are "normal". Steampunk and black cat costumes (possibly "sexy" thrown in there somewhere) make sense, IMO, and the potential audience for each was at least obviously there.
Who, on the other hand, wants a scarf or (another) hoodie? I'm just not seeing the immediate appeal, nor do I really see how those are going to look good on most bodies / armors.
But, hey, I'd love to be proven wrong.

Love those. I guess I'm just an admirer of simplicity but a lot of the prior year hats were hard to integrate with any armor or costume. With the spectercles, furrocious ears (though the ears were too weeaboo for my tastes), and now these, festival hats can better become year-round apparel.
