A real shame that Anet has abandoned their classic April 1st tradition of changing player models around.
All in favor of a GW2 joke.
I enjoyed the quest but it was sloppy in some areas (Golem Attack still says it hurts Sarah, for example) and I feel like it was already old and overdone last year.
I think in Ashford, there's a reference to the world vs. world battles in GW2, one of the guys says he hasn't seen a golem since the Guild Wars, and supposedly one of the wvw arenas is during an event in the far-past.
Also huge inconsistencies with Nightfall characters being "tyrian recruits" but I guess you can't expect everyone to have a prophecies character.
It's pretty clear to me that supporting GW1 in the future is only a half-truth.

The foreign proffessions have dialogues referencing that like the Paragon saying he flew there with his wings.

I hope they have gotten this off their chests and do something different next year (they even brought last years quest BACK--how many april fools jokes have they repeated??? just these-- )
as I mentioned before these quests would have been better suited for the birthday celebration--what better way to showcase a birthday than going back to where it all began--pre-searing, and then they could keep the quests running for a week if they so pleased (instead we get the april fools--days???)....
so my score 4/10

Even if it did happen, the timestream should have been altered so it didn't... why would anyone from the future travel back in time to save the past if it had already been saved...

I quite like the Shadow Form proposal. Do it, ANet!

Its not a prank anymore. It is a farm, period.
LCD wins.

It is really sad that everyone thinks of these quests as a farm. They work on a silly quest that is lots of fun, for one day, and everyone would rather use it to grind a few titles than to enjoy the game.
That is the players fault, not ANets. Too many players think titles mean more than enjoying a game.

It is very much ANets doing. They know the quests are repeatable. They know how much faction they award.. they determined it. They know from past experience that these will be farmed non stop.
It is a slap in the face to their own content. They knowingly make this junk a better faction gain than playing the Vanguard line of EoTN. Meaningful quests relating to the game, lore, etc are paltry rewards and non-repeatable.
The April fools quests would have been just as clever, just as cute, just as good even if they were non-repeatable. There is no "oh kewl" factor running this over and over and repeating it per char is redundant.. except for the ludicrous faction gain.

It's a solo quest, and it virtually requires you to alter your skill bar to something you'd not normally use in regular play. I really don't care about the character playing argument, but I don't roleplay in any video games, including RPGs.
I'm not bothered that you're bothered about this particular solo quest, and this solo quest doesn't bother me. Other people like different things than you or me. Just don't do the quest, and move on. The rewards are inconsequential, and reputation and titles in general are just a tacked-on mechanic to the game.

There is a huge difference in this kind of quest, unless you feel it is perfectly fine mechanics for a level 2 from Kamedan to potentially max Vanguard rep with no need to buy skills, level, buy armor.. or actually play some semblance of the game. And.. reward them better for doing so.
shrug. Bad decisions do bother me. Seeing what happened last year.. and then multiplying the error again makes me question things and adds to my growing apathy towards GW2.

Why do you even care how others play the game? You don't like it then don't do the quest. It is not required. It's a nice fun thing they put in the game, and I would encourage them to keep doing this. If others want to farm money or vanguard points then let them do it.
I just fail to understand why does it bother you how others play the game.
The skillbar change IMO is awesome, you can play with other funny skills you can't use otherwise.
Gosh, I still can't believe this, Anet is adding free content to the game for a meaningless day and there are people still complaining...

max Vanguard rep
The whole idea of having to grind out for hours goes against what was the core 'skill over grind' ideal of the game. But then that was 7 years ago and ANet have shown many times that they're clearly prepared to go against their own word on many things.

I think that Anet's the best for their references. They make fun of themselves so well that I can't help but smile. I do miss the model changes but the quests are better.

And yet, you the player make the choice to run this over and over again. For what? For a title that means absolutely nothing. You made the choice, just because the all you can eat buffet has all that food, doesn't mean you should eat it all. At the end of the day, you are held responsible for your own actions. If someone wants to mindlessly grind some mission over and over again for a stupid title, more power to them. But I had fun playing through it multiple times finding all the hidden references and items that were in there.
If this game has become a job to you and you must fill those titles without having fun or enjoying these silly quests, then maybe you shouldn't be playing games.

Actually.. I made the choice not to do any of them. Does not change my opinion of them. I have fun playing GW, not ersatz terminator cuteness.
And another thing. Pretty sad when people log in and wonder what the April Fools prank is and have to go searching for it.
And per "free" content.. its one day. For the same work they could have added two more Charr battle plan instances.. year round.. even using the canned skillset.
That would have been content..and related to the actual GW lore. Imagine that.

And for the same work they put into adding more grind into this game, they probably could have made pvp good again many times over.
