I don't see why anyone thinks Armbraces won't drop in price. Just dupe the gems by the thousands, go into DoA, finish city or gloom, exchange for non-customized armbraces: tada...

Until something official is stated. I would suggest staying out of the trading business.

Selling a high end mini at this point makes you look like a duper no matter what.

Buying a theorhetical duped mini is just compromising your account for very stupid reasons.

D3 comes out in 4 days. Just wait and play that game till the storm blows over if any of this is correct.

This is a lot of attention however for "conspiracy theories".

EDIT: So any legit high-end minis after this "storm" should sky-rocket in value. So anyone who has ownership of one... kudos.

Hmm, what're the chances prices will all drop enough to let me finish my HoM? :P I've about 50e worth of directly sellable stuff (gemsets, gold zcoins, various mats) and need 200-250e.. It's probably a bit of a **** move, but the market instability doesn't really bother me. I just want to finish the game. <_<

I've long since accomplished my goals here in GW.

Hmm, though in hindsight, it would probably be a good idea to liquidate to platinum the stuff currently not affected and grab cheap stuff later.

Assuming for the moment that you have an undedicated one and it doesn't come out of 7th year birthday presents, /agree.

They don't do server-wide rollbacks, they'll only ban and delete the said characters/accounts and items.

A rollback would be very surprising. That's a step that ANet has only taken once that I can recall - after a clear error (trader reset) on their part, and it was done the same day.

Realistically, expect obvious duplicates to get deleted, the banning of their owners, and not much else to come of this. How that ends up affecting markets remains to be seen.

If I had to guess, I'd bet that armbraces and dedicated minis will crater, and that most everything else will hold firm in the long run. But that's just a guess, and players or ANet could both still surprise me.

From what I gather the person you are trading with is "one of the filthy rich" folk in gw they were on previously with another char showing off their r12 z title so 14 stacks of sapphire to them is possibly childs play.

But cannot put down possible duping also posting names is against the forum is it not :S

TBH I think they are just trolling to stir up the "duping exploit" further.

If you buy for an abnormally low price or clearly customized zkeys or anything else that suggests the item has been duped you can get banned. If you buy in good faith you can not.

If you buy and don't use the keys they can get removed if they were duped.

If you buy and use the keys you will most likely get to keep the points.
