040 is still happening, especially when the finale started @ 11am.
It is evident that ANET is not looking at the problem at all.
IF they are even aware of it...

The GvG MAT seems to have experienced the errors since i see some guild with 2/1 Done, some others with 1/3, some with 5/0, although it was 6 rounds...
Not fair if results are completly biaised, and the same happened in a few playoffs...They should do something, not fun if the only active thing in PvP left has to be bugged...

Same here there has been talk of guild wars 2 using the old guild wars 1 servers which guild wars 1 don't use any more if that's true guild wars 1 will be un-
playable.
Maybe this is what anet/gw people want instead of them saying sorry no 1's playing GW1 we are shutting it down Servers are so degraded we cant play GW1 and they keep their heads in the clouds while reaping all the rewards from us mooks that buy their games/shop items.
I still can't get on properly now and i'm missing the final event keep getting code 40's when entering Shing this is the 1st event in 7years that I'm going to miss.
I wish Anet/GW employee would get their acts into gear.

Instead of stopping hats, they ought to stop events altogether. The network clearly can't handle it.

and the disconnects continue...
whether I am playing JQ or wanting to get into Shing Jea - DISconnected I will be.
Asia dist seems better, but then only just... probably cuase it is on American servers... But still being disconnected here.
JQ / FA uses EU servers mostly and that is vaaking terrible.
Have seen peeps joke about the servers being 56k, since you get loaded into JQ or FA when 40 seconds have passed already ... with 20s left of the timer.

They know about it.
And they need information to fix it, not complaints. Send the support email information about when and where the problem is happening and maybe they can put the pieces together and find the problem.

Duh, when i click that link i get an error:
Quote:
502 - Web server received an invalid response while acting as a gateway or proxy server.
There is a problem with the page you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed. When the Web server (while acting as a gateway or proxy) contacted the upstream content server, it received an invalid response from the content server.
|
And tbh i dont think players can give much useful information... they are playing a dungeon, mission, vq or maybe standing in a town or outpost and then bang, they get the 007 or 040 error (i once was autokicked to the player selection screen, but got the 040 when i tried to re-enter the game).
I got this problem in both Euro and International servers and i also saw players mentioning the USA servers, so it seems to happen at least on all 3 most-used servers, so its not really region-bound.
My best guess is that they have some hardware (auth server?) or software acting weird again...

There is no information players can provide that will fix it. It's a problem across many regions over the world, through many different internet providers, that persisted throughout the event. It took 2 days for me to get my mule account out of the Euro districts I use for farming and SCing. Friday I almost couldn't log in at all even with my main account in, and remaining in, American servers. The American districts finally stabilized, the Euro/Asian ones never did.
Do tell, what useful information can I share with Anet to help them fix the problem?

Everything you just said.
People reporting from everywhere lets them rule out local issues as the cause. People reporting times would let them narrow down which logs to look at, but seeing it happen across a wide range of times lets them rule that out. Getting many detailed reports instead of a few claiming to speak for many lets them get a better view of the how widespread the problem is and how many customers are effected. Seeing a flood of reports is a great tool for someone working for NCSoft to use to get the resources prioritized on an issue. One person saying a lot of people are having a problem just doesn't have the same effect at most companies.
You can't always just hear a report and look at a server log and see how a worldwide network issue is happening. They need information to act on.
I'm not saying it isn't worth complaining about. This sucks. But it's always more constructive to email support first, then complain on a forum afterward. I prefer being constructive, but do as you will.

I cannot log in to any character for more than 10 seconds before getting an error 7. I've sent my email to Anet support site.
Everything was working perfectly during until today (July 3). So what ever the problem is, it seems to be getting worse and affecting more people as time goes.
