Intoxicated Horangi- ....uh yea I'm korean and Horangi in korean means tiger. I couldnt really think of a name so i kinda stole the name from some korean rap artists called Drunken Tiger. One of them always calls himself the Intoxicated Tiger so..... I just used that fo my name

Francis Crawford is name of the character better known as Lymond, from Dorothy Dunnett's Lymond Chronicles. They are my wife's favorite books -- the ones that inspired her to be a novelist. We went to a gathering in Scotland to meet the late Lady Dunnett. Not coincidentally, while most of her character names are based on ones from her own books, one is named Philippa Somerville. (Not to every young girl is it given to enter the harem of the Sultan of Turkey and return to her homeland a virgin.)

I also have a character named Wesley Wyndamprice, after the Buffy/Angel character. Naturally, as one who attempts to control the undead, he is a necro.

And I have a character in pre- named Corwin Oberonson, which while clunky is the best I could do in a tribute to the hero of Roger Zelazny's Chronicles of Amber.

I also have a ranger named Allerian Onestone. That's lifted from a D&D character of mine -- a rogue/wizard, but the closest thing I had to an archer nonetheless.

W- Arados Vaeros= Warrior's Breath or Dragon's Fire (a play on my log in name)
Mes- Raul Valam= Silent Noble

I used a dragon name generator for these. I got a thing for dragons.

Not very exciting but i did what I could.

Bale Shadowscar
-Bale means Evil. The whole name is based off an RP character I had on a forum, Bale Cruelwhisper. I decided to use the name Shadowscar for my GW character to tie in with Necromancer's scars.

Yeager Elmwood
-My brother's character. Yeager, can't remember where it came from, maybe the name of a character off a show or something? Elmwood is obviously 'elm' and 'wood', to tie in with the Ranger theme.

Chuck Yeager was a famous Air Force test pilot in the 50's & 60's - First guy to break the sound barrier. Could that be it?

Well, my characters all share the same last name Dragonhart, it sounds good and Hart is my grandmother's maiden name.

Andural Tousarn (Mo/R), Hiberia El (N/E), Limbal no Turoni (Me/E) (deleted) - no idea where any of these came from

Scarlet Walking (R/E) is my explorer char, inspired by the album/track Scarlet's Walk by Tori Amos, and Sugar (her stalker) is another TA track.

I've also created and deleted (twice) an ele called Shade of Peckforton which is a reference to a character I had in the LARP system Treasure Trap, which ran at Peckforton castle in the '80's

Here we go. i'll add to the ever growing multitude of un-read posts. Man, i am in a BAD mood today...LOLZzzzzzzz

Batou of Nine (Mo/Me) -Male- The name Batou comes from several animes. The one i took mine from is called "Ghost in the Shell" (GiTs) which is both a series and was originally a movie.

Mrs Kusanagi (W/E) -Female- Kusanagi is the last name of the main character in "GiTs" movie and series.

Motoko Kusan Agi (Me/E) -Female- Motoko Kusanagi is the first and last name of the main character in "GiTs". Someone had already take the full name...

Crazy Ron Burgandy (R/Mes) -Male- Ron Burgandy is the name of the main character on the comedy "Anchor Man". A great movie.

So... unhealthy fascination with Motoko Kusanagi? Maybe. GiTs is my favorite anime, however when it came to naming female characters here in GW, methinks i just got lazy. Factions, ill try n be more creative! Yeah, for stuff!

Sadeath Blode ( N/_ ) - well just made something and sadeath =__death in a way so it will get you to think on death probably.

Bordaux The Mad ( Me/_ ) - becouse he looks like a maaad man, and i thought Bordaux (city in france, but is originally spelled Bordeaux) suited for a mesmer.

Moondancer Zakura ( Mo/_) - becouse I and 2 other friends made a character trio, so we decided that we should have a moondance each^^, so if u meet moondancer zakura, moondancer sakura or moondancer cakura just laugh....

Banana Smasher ( W/_ ) - he's a funny guy, so I thought he should have a funny name........anyway he's at the lowest height as possible wich is rare to see in warrior males!

Sacrophage Nexus [My Necro] -- Sacrophage was similar-sounding to Sarcophagus, so it fit well with the death theme. And I like the word Nexus

The Blood Rose Hero [My Monk] -- I wanted to create a sort of epic character that perhaps had a background shrouded in secrecy. I kinda liked how it left a bit of ambiguity, too.

Requisite Hero [My Warrior] -- I don't like my warrior all that much, and I just wanted the black 15k platemail and some nice axes/swords :P

Southern Tradewinds [My Ranger] -- I wanted to have a character name that alluded to the upcoming chapter. Since Cantha is south of Tyria and is a trade center, well there you go.

Most of the ones I make are kinda at random, or are inspired from other forms of RP'ing.

I had a Healer Monk named Radiant Jheng Zin...derived from one of the player names from Jade Empire.

My current Ele, Arianna Starshadow, was a character a RP'ing partner from AOL played. That character loved wearing spiked boots, so it was only fitting for the Female Ele.

Morrighan Blackrose, my Necro, was derived from black roses being kinda associated with Necromancy or something of a Gothic/Emo nature, and Morrigan of the Darkstalkers Series.

Scarlette Sylvanas, my Mesmer, was random because I gave her scarlet red hair.

The Emerald Maiden, my Ranger, was just something I came up to make her unique, name-wise, and she's been wearing green armor all her life.

Skylar Witherleg - Basically a descriptive on what he was originally designed to do. He was a R/E with a lot of snares. I still do a lot of Forum based RP and I've always been good with names that sound nice together.

Moloch Bloodfist- Was originally a N/W with blood magic. He got turned into an SS/Sv necro though.

Sedrek Godhand- This is my homage to my old Paladin from Diablo 2. Old school zealer that owned until I got into GW and let my accounts lapse. So my W/Mo has taken on the Godhand name to keep the lineage alive. Since he's primarily smite in his monk attributes I think the Godhand moniker is appropriate.
