Default Wayfarer's Marks: worth farming?

The drop rate for Marks seems to be game-wide but extraordinarily low - on the order of a few percentage points at best.

Problem is, I really really REALLY want to finish up GWAMM before GW2, and to do that I need party/sweet/drunk points.

So do you think it's worth killing thousands of enemies to grab a few points here and there, or is my/your time better spent elsewhere?

Definitely better spent elsewhere. Just do any profitable farm and buy the points, it'll go much faster. There should be plenty of sellers still.

They drop from vaettir, so everyone farm them from that.

The drop rate seems to be the same as other festival items. So if you think that farming those things during their respective festivals is worth your while, then Yes, it's worth your while to take on the raptor/vaetter/whatever farming while they're dropping.

But like Skyy said, it'll be faster just to buy them from others if you can afford it.

I have been doing the vaettir farm and the drop rate for these thing is very low from it.

Can go 3-4 runs without 1 dropping.

So yeah, imo, its not worth farming them.

Don't worry about finishing GWAMM, if the current trend continues ANET will be giving it away with the next update.

Oddly enough, I've been having a fairly high drop rate of Wayfarer's marks, consistently getting around 10 per ~15 minute feather run through Jaya Bluffs. However, as others said above, still not worth it compared to other, more profitable farms. (I just do this one because I find it fun).

I figured the marks would be worth far more than a 1 point item considering how close we are to the GW2 release. Not that I need anymore as I already have a GWAMM and 50/50.

the 'event' ended, and just like other events where you have event only junk (tokens) when its over...the collectors leave and if you failed to finish up the quests or still have these in your inventory....you are stuck (though I doubt this event will be repeated, so not only stuck but sol).
Though I would hope that the collectors would have stuck around for a bit afterwards like other events...but alas...yup, me sol too

I got 3 of the 4 stones proofs and only had 2 things to do in the Eye Of The North quest to get the last proof. I then had internet connectivity problems for days, then got Guild Wars 2 and my internet got fixed. So I played some Guild Wars 2, never having played any beta things, so it was all fresh and cool to me. By the time I got back to the Wayfarer's thing and finally got it finished my time had run out by some hours on that extended period. Why can't they have a reward NPC or something where you can only cash in your rewards from these event things. Plus I have a stack of those mark things that I'll have to dump in the garbage. My fault I didn't finish sooner, tho my net connection got so bad I couldn't load Google at times. They extend it for 2 1/2 days and I still miss it. Now that sucks. Bah.
