Hey there
Hey, it's been a long time since I played Guild Wars 1, but I'm back. I liked Guild Wars 2, but it wasn't a Guild Wars game, and a plethora of other issues just sealed the coffin for me. I reckon I'll go back to GW2 later on, but for now I'mma play GW1 again, the dungeon-crawl style is more for me
But enough about that. I refuse to qq about something that, despite not being up to standard, had quite a few good elements.
So, yeah, is there still a community on GW1, and should I play on the American servers?(I'm in GMT)
And how long will the servers stay open? I know Anet said they'd keep them up, but I dunno, I'm not so willing to believe anything they say nowadays.
Does any do AB/JQ/FA anymore?

I'm not actively playing. Have GW2, like GW1 better.
If I find a somewhat active (casual and friendly) community or guild thenI play more actively again. GMT+2 here.

I'm in the UK and tend to stick to the American server now as well. GW2 is on order for me, due to arrive at the end of the month (Sainsbury's Entertainment, I'll say no more apart from that it was £28). The only downside with the lack of players in GW1 for me is access to Fort Aspenwood, which is restricting my cartography title progress. I plan on organising a party in the near future to explore it, so hopefully that'll help a few other people out as well :-)

Thanks for the replies everyone
Yeah, the American servers are much more active
I reckon I'll try to find an active guild and then play with them. I've decided I'm gonna start all over, from the very start. So I'll probably be the only guy who isn't at level 20 for a a few days (I don't play anything hardcore)
Oh, and Ibiris. Don't let anyone put you off GW2. It is a great game, it has so much to it and I love the movement in the combat. It just wasn't everything I was looking forward to, sadly. If you do organise an exploration team, try to gimme a shout, as long as we get a few real games, too

yes, there are still many people playing this game, however, most people are playing with their heroes having found that pugs are not obtainable much (unless you are doing the zaishen stuff of the day--and then HM), there are a few guilds still around (check out the guild connection section here on guru) and you can see a few guilds still actively recruiting in gtob or kamadan.
(and yes, LOTS of people found that gw2 didnt have the flavor they wanted, but that can be said of ANY game!)

Are there still enough pugs for ZQs? I had the most fun forming those pugs, and playing with heroes gets dull after a while. Not to mention micro requires effort :P

Well, gimme a shout sometime, Minion. I'm starting all over on a Ranger (I pretty much salvaged and deleted everyone, for some reason. Though I couldn't bring myself to do it to my Vabbian armoured Sin)
So I'mma start on a Ranger in Ascalon and work through the entire game. But I'm only gonna do that if I can find a proper team for the missions

Sweet, I'll start a thread to form a FA party, hopefully we'll get enough interest to help a few folk out and have a couple of matches while we're there :-)
Hope you don't mind me listing your IGN's in the message?
