We can strip out all speculations, prizes and builds and have a decent thread that just focuses on:
a) Where Nick is on the current week
b) WTF is Nick asking for that particular week.

As for the rest: OMG, let the people find out for themselves! That by itself is 75% of the fun! (other 25% are the prizes).

If I may tweak your suggestion a bit, it seems to me that most people merely want to know (1) where is he, (2) what's he asking for, (3) how do I farm 'em, and (4) how much will I need to fork over to buy 'em.

So, how about a thread that only permits the following:
(a) screenshots of Nicholas, accompanied by a text version of his dialogue (to make it searchable)
(b) discussion on farming the required item (which can involve builds as far as I care)
(c) discussion on trading price of the item

Then we can have a separate thread like the Zaishen Chest Drop one for people to post their winnings.

I vote for a sticky too but without all the other posts even have it locked so just the mods can add where/what and link to farming if needed for what he wants
after confirmation of location.
How about it Inde or any other mods?
Thread is way over 100 pages now and id close this and stat a new one each week he moves then following week close that start a new one.
Or does that sound like a bad idea.?

IDK. And yet the party screen was full of them. I think by that time people just wanted to get rid of their charr hides and still earn some kind of profit. The WTS was mostly limited to selling gifts - WTS/WTB booze, rock candy, etc.

To tweak your tweak, I would suggest that the farming/trading thread be separate as well. Look up the location/collectable on the (a) thread, then just go to the latest posts in the (b/c) thread if you need to know how to acquire the items. That way those who already have or know how to get the items and have no interest in buying or selling them can just skip all that.

Bad idea. Best way to actually find Nicholas quickly is to allow people to post on this thread when they find him after he changes Monday. This thread is helped used to coordinate the search (ie, "nope he's not in The Breach" or "I checked all the jungle" or "nope the guy saying he was in The Wilds was a hoax"). Restricting it to only allow mods to post is counterproductive.

I really don't see the problem. The most recent item is always explained in the last 5-10 pages. It's not like you have any reason to be on page 30 looking for today's info.

Since the first post gets updated each week I don't see the problem. Having multiple pages would just get too confusing over time if you wanted to ever look for an old thread (for historical purposes).

Sorry should have been more clear in my post.
I meant split it into 2 and only sticky the location once confirmed by a few people from the other thread and only the mods had access to post in sticky.
Other thread can stay even if it gets to 1000 pages as a found him maybe/ discussion /what i got etc / archive thread.
Well if still a bad idea ignore it.

Im searching the same two hypothesis' every week. Sylvari tree, and the huge place you go in the last Asura mission. After that i search random places.

He isn't at sylvari.
He isn't at the golem kiln place either.
