I think it's the same as the Pet Tamer NPC -- removed from the area so Gwen can give her little speech.

Done this 3 times so far in a 6 man party, 3 heroes and 2 hench. Only had one scale drop so far.

Got 2 scales so far.

What i do is head for the HoS portal, kill all groups around there, and head into HoS and back into depths, easy farming

I was able to get 5 in 6 runs doing this route with a full group of H&H:

A guildie and I have been 600/smite the Battledepths. Getting good drop rates. About 15 a run.

3-5 runs with 5 H/H and I got 5 Scales.^^
Nothing special in the Travelers Gifts thou. Mysterious Tonics/Summoning stones and Blue Rock Candies.

Must have merched at least 100 of these scales, and roots, and crap..

I sure am glad they gave us storage, cause now I am afraid to merch anything >.<

I call b.s. on this claim. Doing 7 person party runs with one hero and averaging about 1 per person per run of battledepths. Done about 10 runs so far.
