i had only a very few d/c's, and someone i know from same country, barely has any d/c's if any, and she's onlinealmost whole days, kinda
i only get lag when i have youtube and/or facebook open, and when i minimize alot, other than that i barely d/c and barely lag

we live in west europe btw

Few things, Anet has been sending me this when I send them a time/date of a DDoS attack.

However, I am aware that the party responsible for the DDoSing has been alerted to my efforts/this thread and has either stopped or severely reduced the DDoS attacks as I have not run in to more than 1 case since the last update. I will still post if I receive any more notifications from ANET.

You QQ to ANet support that those evil party poopers with their 5€ booters repeatedly kicked you out of halls and you couldn't sync your titles, and what they thought was obviously "These autistic gw1 children syncing useless titles 24/7". You really think the GMs are that dumb and didn't know what exactly happened? That the DDoS attacks were exactly on HoH timers... when you run around there with names like "Ddos Immune Virgin"?

We both know that todays update was a direct response to your email to shut you guys down, and I love them for it. It could not possibly have turned out better than this way!

always add the current year. It helps put emphasis on the fact that all the stupidity like syncing, price fixing, botting etc is being done in a game thats 10 years old.

My life can't be more meaningless than someone posting anonymously on a dead game's forum about something I am generally happy about. This update doesn't affect me negatively at all.

I am sorry you missed out on your chance for a r15.

I have my z12 and 31 days of 300 fame is not a big deal at all.

As with every single dev decision (including the creation of GW2) - good intentions, dire execution.

It appears as though resigning causes dishonor in HA now. Or perhaps, unlike other formats, you have to wait to be transported to outpost rather than map out after the match outcome is determined.

It's desperately sad that it is even enough of an issue to some people to warrant undertaking an attack in the first place. How sad, lonely, addicted, deluded and narcissistic must an individual be to run these attacks on a game at this stage of it's life? And for what? Fake notoriety which has no consequence or meaning in real terms?

But I suppose when you have nothing of worth in your life, and you feel the only avenue open to you to make yourself feel better is to run these attacks, perhaps it's time to purchase a one-way ticket to a euthanasia clinic in Switzerland.

I feel sorry for these guys, really.

I think it's a great sign they do still care about GW1. Perhaps it's not unrealistic we might see other updates sometimes as well. Although not as actively as pre-GW2 of course.

i heard that people got dishonor when a group reported them for leeching, while not doing anything wrong, that was before this update

so if your team reports the other team, they will be kicked out for a while, yay

..... this pvp system is broken as hell if you ask me
some DDOS attacks occur, and now its even easier to let players get "banned" from pvp
even with a timer its bad

now the DDOS-er (if that really is going on) can do whatever he/she wants, and make it more painful

i also doubt many like the increased dishonor timer

... we'll see what happens, i just hope they either do something NICE for pve once in a while, or dont touch it at all
the only thing i like to see is a second HM (called HM2 maybe?), maybe without titles, just for a challenge, but enemies have full skill bars, and maybe pve only skills as monster skills... maxed :P

anyway, good luck pvp-ers... and anet, i guess

Its because a-net is smart enough to ask WHY they are ddosing. Their server infrastructure is too weak to guard against ddos's, and they dont have the manpower to fix that anymore lol

Not even Blizzard could protect from DDoS, basically no one can. Lizardsquad would switch from all NCSoft games to WoW that I saw. Eve online also got hit, I'm sure there are lots of other MMOs too.

I couldn't really play anything reliably during that whole fiasco.
