good old farming places
When I started to play gw I was trying out many different proffessions and didnt get that much in to the end game to farm uw or fow or any other thing that was considered a great farm places.
so I searched and farmed on some wierd places instead
some of them were:
Elemental stones in ascalon
mergoyles and scales outside gats of kryta
undead in got (behind oink)
Swamp outside of LA
minotaurs in the desert
trolls outside droks.
Note that some of them were done in NM and they were fun to do
I also got my fist ranger elite armor by doing desert runs for hours and hours (by only having proph)
later I made a shiverpeak mo/r runner also only proph skills
what about you? Share your non leet old days farming places

I never got to farm in uw before the ench stripping and the sf nerf
as for pre searing I remember hiding behind a wall at the first char group with a mesmer andcasting backfire and emphaty at rangers and eles
I also farmed bandits and the highest lvl was a 13mez (back when drathlvling eas the only option
edit: after proph I got factions and I used to farm those jade brotherhood guys. I got nf and eotn after that but I onlz farmed vaettirs since factions..

I used to farm the enemies in the Halcyon Job quest using rezdogg's 330hp ritualist build. Was kinda boring and probably not the fastest or most efficient farming build, but it got the job done and probably most importantly, was easy.
I also used to farm smite crawlers for ecto with the 330hp ritualist. I guess nowadays for smite crawler farming you take a hero party with you and just flag it back far away from the wastes once you've cleared a path there?

i never farmed, until i could easily defeat charr in the breach, to farm charr carvings for wintersday/halloween, which i do now for nicholas when i need to
i did farm in plains of jarin for certain items and pickup the gold, as i solo-ed, and even churrhir fields on HM for mes tomes, which i'd do again if i need tomes
they are mesmers after all.... http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Iboga_Root
and no skills is easy kill even in HM
although it'd be better if they were dervs, as those are worth more within the community, and i'd use those more, i guess (i only have 1 mesmer char)
i wasnt really a farmer, and now only farm easy stuff for nicholas, but could say charr carving farm was 1 of my first REAL ones, and also 1 i found out a few years ago, is hulking stone farm, for scorched lodestones (which i salvage into granites) and they also drop granites
thats the first few real farms i did, so i dont really have good old farming places.... these are my oldest, and they were after eotn came out (i started with proph only, before there was factions)
oh yea, i also used to farm (and sometimes still do) bows and other wood stuff in maguuma jungle and salvage them into wood (8-16 each or so) for parchments outside sardelac

- 55 HP Monk, farming hydras in the desert
- 55 HP Monk + SS Nekro Duofarming UW with friends (gosh, fun times ^.^)
- Farming UW with W/Rt (Vengeful was Khanai) and E/Me (Shockwave)
- solo farming UW with 55 HP Mo/W, looking back that was solo hilariously bad xD
- FoW beach with W/Mo
I think that's about it from "back in the day". All of them are quite fun and I still do them from time to time just for the fun of doing it.

W/mo farming griffins (remember the constant stream of monk bots out of Augury before the nerf!) mainly.
The ettins brought back a fond memory, a friend took me to the farming spot and on the first run got a sup absorption, his language was very colourful I recall. I promptly blew most of the proceeds of the sale on some newfangled "green" items that had just come out...

Whammo farming Desert Griffons in the first few months of Prophecies. Running chests out of Witman's Folly before keys were added to the game.
I recall 55 being started to be talked about by a few folks I knew but I quit before UW 55 hit the mainstream.

A guildmate and I use to 600/Smite Nebo Terrace and North Kryta Province and back through Nebo 4 or 5 times a day for a week at a time. Max out our gold on 5 accounts, runed all characters, ran up chest counts, Lucky/unlucky, Wisdom all at the same time. Piles and piles of crafting materials we then turned into rare mats. Was fun times.
Would love to see that build viable again for the hero to run. I am alone and could use more ...........................
