"El Vekk" is the hero that comes with the Spanish-language version of GW or something?
Now I want a tella-novella style machinima featuring the diabolical El Vekk and his plans to steal some grandma's fortune.

Well, I was asked to join a guild once. When I asked what faction they belonged to, I was told "I have no idea". I mean... How can you not know...?

Because not every guild is created or populated by people who also have Factions. The first several months existence of our guild it wasn't part of either faction, nor would I have had any idea what "faction" was until I got far enough along in the actual Factions story line to explain to my best friend - our guild leader - what faction was and why it was desirable for us to be Luxon so we could ally with another friend's guild.
Anyone can create a guild, even new people... and many of them look to build their membership so as to explore the rest of the game together.

I guess that could have been the case. At the time I had the impression the guild wasn't brand new though.

Unless you're faction farming, the only time you'd even think about it was if you were going to change alliances.

Reminds me of a guy that swore that you can't dedicate Destroyer weapons to the HoM. There was no such thing as a dedicated/customized destroyer weapon, when I proposed him to show him mine, he called me a liar and a noob. He wouldn't open trade because I would be lying anyway.
Either he was very stupid, or very, very eager to scam someone with one of his own custo'd destroyer weapons, because I caught him in a discussion in Kaineng Center with another guy.

Last night, i was trying to join in a pug as a monk healer to do zaishen vanquish and this is what i found.
After seeing that I left the group (before it even started) and went to do something else. The formation is bad enough, and seeing that build scared me away. From now on, i think i am better off with 7 heros

The funny thing is, that when someone points out to this poor soul that his bar is bad, he will come to these forums and complain about elitists who won't let him play the bar he wants.

yes, which is why i did not point how his bar is not very good, and left as a result, it is one of the safe alternative to choose for me that is.

Builds can say more than you think when it comes to the person playing the game. This guy obviously doesn't understand much about the game than most but at least hes not a smiting ele with flare and points in water magic when there's no water skills in his build.
Walking away can be the best choice than trying to help them because when you do there's a 50/50 chance he will lol and call you a noob.
I don't think this qualifies as stupid though.

If that build qualifies as one of the stupidest things you have found playing GW, You have, indeed, led a blessed and sheltered existence here.

Why does everyone always cite Flare as the "bad" skill? There are way more creative ways to make something that doesn't work, at least Flare can post DPS of some value and doesn't break a build.

Don't start, Snograt already deleted a ton of comments about it...
@Xiaquin: because I can't think of a situation where you wouldn't rather have some other skill than Flare. If you're going to spend 1second casting something before moving onto a more powerful spell, bring Immolate if you think you need single-target damage (and you probably don't). If you're going to cast it more than once at a time, well, there are better spells you can use that fill that time.

I offered a really nice req8 crenelated sword 15^50 to someone once with a very low price tag just to offload it for space. The other mods on it weren't so hot though, I think the hilt was something other than fortitude, probably armor because it was cheap to to throw on or whatever back in 2006 when I modded it originally.
Anyhow, he laughed in my face and was like, "I don't want that piece of crap, the mods are garbage", like he didn't understand that he could switch the hilt and such and believe me, he would have gotten it for a steal.
I just face-palmed as he went back to spamming "WTB r8 weapons only!! NO CRAP MODS!" into trade.

I have recently been selling some totem axes.
I often get 1 of two questions:
1. Is it green?
2. What mods on it?
