plus GW wouldnt get that... as much or at all
PW is not asking money for every little thing, except cosmetics and extra stuff you wont need

I know you dont NEED pay-to-win items, but it does give a rather unfair advantage. Personally I'd rather pay to play than pay to win, keeps the playing field more equal.

In all fairness there are MANY still not unban who deserve to be. As well as many unban that shouldn't be. Flawed methods are flawed.

Wow...I'm so glad I came back to read this thread. A friend told me that I should go and read guru. I did and noticed a lot of people got unbanned and so decided to check my account.
My account and my boyfriends account are now unbanned..having had no contact with support since my last try.
I really did not think I would ever get unbanned because the person from support that I spoke to was so insistent that my account had logged onto a computer that had at some point botted, and so was justly banned. I was so mad because I had done nothing wrong that I decided that I would never check the game or guru again.
Thank you so much to whoever sorted this

paying to win (buying buffs and such) is optional, as you can play most MMO's with p2w stuff without paying 1 cent or more
heck, in PW i paid for flying, but only to walk way less, and the game itself has buffs without paying, for events
heck, GW has merc heroes and consets and DP removers which wasnt supposed to be there, yet its not called a p2w game
you'd rather pay for a same game to play it witjout anyone being able to get them, every single month, plus the gam,e itself to buy, plus the expansions you have to pay for? you must be damm rich or feel "elite" when you have to pay alot for a game just to play it
besides, even if PW would buy GW, there's no way to say if they'd add it to GW, and even if they did, we got friggin consets you can buy WITHOUT reallife money, yet the game is alot of fun, so much that people return all the time
lately i felt empty cuz so many i knew left, but some started coming back and play it again
you wanna pay alot and not use buffs? good, buy everything you can on many accounts in GW, and only use what you got by buying the game and got ingame, that way you can pay what you want, yet not use the stuff from the ingame store, like merc heroes, unlock packs etc
then never use or get buffs ingame
i barely do use them anyways, i'll just farm clovers everytime i can to get lucky without getting unlucky, as i dont like that title
and i use merc heroes to build teams i like, i dont even copy builds from people, or pvx
even in games like PW, you can play without making use of pay to win, and enjoy the game as it is
i found many people and guilds where you didnt need to buy buffs to join, so thats no problem
also, people who pay every month for the same game feel too elite, and think that others are stupid and weak people.... i rather play p2w games than those games
sure, none of them have only good people, but p2p attracts people who think they are better, cuz they pay every month, and wanna use every moment they paid for to play it, else they waste a few dollars euro's or whatever you have as currency
its cuz they wanna play as much for each cent they paid for that game, and have to pay again and again, so they feel like they have to hurry enjoying the game, so wont help many people who arent as good
sure, a few do, but many wont
even GW as it is, with waaaaaaaaaaaaay less people nowadays, has more friendly people than the games i have seen and heard about
i dont pay so many coins for 1 single game, as free MMO's with p2w can be nice, and have many people who are like me in that area, i met plenty of them in PW alone already (didnt play much past year(s), as GW is way too much fun with building heroes and chars i use, heck, i'm even busy with 3 SF eles who have a few dmg skills and 1 has prot, 2 have restoration healing, and other heroes i used, but edited for this group), and reason i didnt find any in others yet, is cuz most are too boring with gameplay, and LOTRO.... i joined the wrong server for that, but reallife friend is there, so wanna play with him too, and i bought the moria expansion with RL money, so i'd get 2 char slots and 2 classes i'd otherwise dont have, the rest in played for
in many p2w games you even can get ingame store by points, which you can buy with ingame money, so play plenty, and buy stuff without RL money
anyway, i dont trsut moneyhungry google and blizzard, and would think that perfect world would be much better with it.... they dont even need to change much, maybe just the servers and ingame store(which isnt ingame now, but would be then), and even if they'd sell materials and such in the ingame store, you can get em ingame
anyway, PW can be trusted way more if its about customers than others
hell, sell GW to turbine (who made LOTRO), and its better than those other 2
i quit this, as it'll be "no, you are wrong" even though i get to hear that from people who never made MMO's or such, i just say what i see happen, and what i think about it
if i could choose, i'd say that ncsoft should take it over with a small group IF anet would screw up or wants it gone, and will take care of that

I just thought it would be nice if a company like Google bought GW. I don't have the knowledge to know if that is really feasible. But if this were to happen, they could just operate it under Google's general Terms of Service. Plus we could probably call Google by phone and speak to a live rep for any issues. Since when were we able to do that with Arena/NC?

Joke? lol.
Why would google buy Anet or NC Soft? It does nothing for them.

Lol, yes, my 18k a year makes me hella rich. Why cant you just read that I said "Personally", as in, that's just my opinion? Youre making this into a mud throwing fest when it just started as two people sharing their different views -.-
In MY OPINION, i PERSONALLY, dont FEEL that p2w games are enjoyable to ME. Yes, theyre optional purchases, but it gives an ADVANTAGE to those dishing out EXTRA MONEY. Which again, I PERSONALLY FEEL makes the playing field uneven. Sorry if me having an opinion offends you, jeez. Not everyone is going to share yours. Why does it bother you so much that I indeed would rather pay monthly than have a pay to win shop? Just accept that different people prefer different things.
Whatever, I'm out.

I don't mean buy the company Anet or NC. I mean just take over the game, run it on their servers, they own it and everything. But I'm sure they'd sooner start up a new online game than buy an existing one that's a decade old.

What I "blame" you for is making assumptions about my financial status/"leet" status, based on a preference I have in gaming. That was totally uncalled for and hostile. Thats starting to take out opinion and introducing mud slinging.
In a normal, civil discussion, you keep things at opinions, and dont start assuming things about the other person. I've been dreadfully poor all my life and have just started to crawl up. I take high offense to you basically calling me a spoiled rich brat, over what WAS a civil discussion.
Wont post again on these forums, goodbye guru.

It would be unfortunate if you'd leave just because of this one guy. That Ayuhmi entity has rubbed many people the wrong way in the past.
And not everyone is like him. Heck, luckily, he seems rather unique on this forum. It could actually just be his (lack of) language skills.
All the best to you though.

A friend who has Facebook tells me that her FB group [Guild Wars: A New Beginning ? A New Hope?] has almost 700 members, and that Gaile Gray is one of them. Perhaps that group would at least offer a possibility that Gaile would see a post. Would be nice!!

and it started with me saying that i dont trust google and blizzard to take over GW
try to f..... ignore me then, geez
at least admit that blizzard and googel are moneyhungry people before you go
and thanks for making me sound like an AH, naturelover, all i did was giving my opinions (also in the past) and i got "no, that will kill the game" or "your opinion is wrong" (2nd is one i still dont get)
and also got such replies when i explained WHY i thought about stuff the way i do
anyway, have more unbans happened?.... and more bans? i mean, are they still banning people now?
i heard that anet let GW out of the loop, is that true? got to hear it from ingame
i doubt it, but it might happen that way

Doubt it will make a matter. They didn't even really discuss the ban wave til After we did here then I posted about it in that fb group. From what I saw of that group is abunch of shallow minded noobs. I was told everything I have in this game was from bots lol. I had a good laugh & left the group. haha Cause 6 years of buying & selling wouldn't equal to what i've built(even though others have built more) but how can I argue with such ignorance? I don't need to lolol

I think calling over 800 members a bunch of shallow minded noobs, based on 2 or 3 idiots, is highly unfair. You left the group before you could see that an admin came to your defense.

Guys guys guys...
Just play this game, enjoy, logout, take a deep breath outside in your garden.
This drama thread is running out of control of peoples opinions and accusations.
If this game will ever die, then deal with it, or join some sketchy private server.
On the "i dont deserve a ban" people that have shed crocodile tears, Anet has fabricated a BOT to ban BOTTERS, it runs via an algorhytm that detects any numbers that should not align in their client.
So basicly, they pressed the big red button, and didn't look back at it.
Big deal, it happens in tons of games.
And dont expect them to do it manually just because you feel you need a special treatment in your case.
Simply put, they dont give a fk about the GW1 community as they are simply no beneficial source of income, so why would they bother.
