Welcome to the Guru. Check through the forums here...you'll find some helpful info. Also, consider getting Nightfall; it offers some perks that will help you enjoy the game even more.

Hello everyone. I've just begun my Prophecies adventure! The bad thing is that I don't have the Internet at home (looking into dial up but I don't want to go back to that!). I am trying to scour the Forum for helpful tips, information etc. but there is just so much it's overwhelming. Right now I am a N/Mo. I am trying to get my Necro skills but realize I may need to just 'play through'.

For instance, I am trying to reach the Sanitarium but somehow can't get there? I like to know what I'm doing before I do it, but know that in order to figure out GW I've just got to play. So far the Wiki has like tons of info.....but if there are any other tips someone wants to provide I'm an eager learner! I haven't done much with other people yet, a few, but I've been using henchmen. I have joined a guild but I just feel awkward because I am so new and everyone else has like high Lvl characters and well frankly don't know much about what I'm doing. I basically just kinda go through with the game, do my quests, a mission or two (I'm waiting on the missions to get more familiar with the game).

Anyway, looking forward to reading through the forums and maybe getting more involved.

My character is Josephina. Always looking for new friends.

Welcome all the same! Don't be afraid to ask us questions in the Q&A forum if your guildmates aren't so helpful. They should be though, so don't be afraid to ask them questions.

If they're jerks about it, I would suggest finding another guild.

hey, new to the forum and just coming back to the game after a 3-4 year break lol. I am soooo lost but hanging in there. Its just so overwhelming when there are 24323 new items on my trade chat being traded. I recall first logging in last week going " wtf is an inscription and what the heck is this bone dragon pet" lol

I actually go to the Atlanta Bread Company or if I am at work, the hospital (I absolutely love wireless!) OR if all else fails my parents' house (I installed a wireless router) but they are almost an hour away. I actually will hopefully get a wireless card from the phone company to use the internet in the house (although my boyfriend has a damn tin roof on the house so here's hoping I get a signal through that metal! If not I can send it back, and then I guess I'm stuck with dial up

Just remember, as you need armor in game to protect your character, you also need a thick skin to protect yourself from forum flamers.

Advise:

1. Do not buy anything from another player that you can find in the game. Believe me when you follow this simple rule you will have lots of gold in the bank

2. Turn off local chat and trade channels. Join a guild, or make one and join an Alliance. Since following this advice the game has become alot more enjoyable.

3. Always use the XP bonus at shrines to power lvl. Very quick, very easy.

4. Have FUN!

Eh...no.

Trying to farm for a specific item can takes months/years. Gold is easy to come by anyway.

Hello. I started playing about 5 months ago and went from having just Nightfall to all the campaigns/add-ons--very addictive game.

One of my guildmates linked this site, and the information has been quite helpful (and thanks for that!), so I thought I'd join.

I usually lurk awhile on a forum before joining and posting to get a feel for the community. That way I don't join flame-fest forums.
