Lag or no Lag? That is the question!
Hi to all Guild Wars fans,
Iv recently heard of the game and after reading this awesome web site, I am really looking forward to when it's release date. But i have one concern. The PC. I'm just worried that like most MMORPG nowdays (Everquest 2, World of Warcraft), my PC wont be able to handle the heat of bump mapping, complex lighting effects, reflection of water and other crazy technology being shipped with games.
What kind of game's graphics will I be able to handle? and will there be any lag (I know you guys probably get loads of quesitons like this, but it will really help!)?
Im running:
Some Cosmos random motherboard
Pentium 4 1.9Ghz
768 PC133 RAM
Sapphire Radeon 9600 128MB graphics card
On-board sound
40GB Hardrive
512kb AOL Internet Connection
Any help you guys can give me will really be appreciated!
Thanks,
Kaz

I see no problem.
Have you downloaded the client and viewed the log-on screen in both superb, and minor settings?
This will give you a better feel for ingame.
MY experience, is that the game runs better than the log-on screen.

To echo everyone else, you dhould be fine. I have a slightly worse setup (Radeon 9250, 512 ram, celeron 1.8) and I can run on the highest graphical settings with no problems. GW makes my computer feel like it's brand new, all the other games make it feel like a dinosaur.

Please have little concern...
Intel Celeron 1.3 ghz
512/133 ram
nividia PCI 5200Fx 128 graphics card
onboard sound
No lag man, seriously no lag at all, although not highest setting (1024x768, anti-aliasing set to zero. In-game config medium-high to high quality)
The AOL part...well...no comment
384k-1.5m dsl here "tier II dsl" or something like that.
