Freezing w/ Teamspeak
Ironically, Teamspeak is packaged with the collectors edition.
When I have TS up, the game will freeze after a time. My box is an Athlon64 3000+, not overclocked at all, 1G RAM on an nForce4 mb. I'm using a PCI-X 6600GT.

Cpt. Obvious: Are your drivers up-to-date, especially sound card drivers?
Are you multitasking a million background tasks?

My sound drivers are up to date (platform drivers from nVidia specifically for nForce4). I'm concerned that perhaps there's a new revision of TS out. I also have a problem with TS and SWAT4. I'm not using TSO, and AFAIK I don't have excessive background tasks/stuff in the system tray (I keep it relatively clean).

I don't know if the version that comes with is earlier than the current version, but the TS site is www.goteamspeak.com.

You might consider going into your services control panel (start>run>services.msc) and turning off some unneeded services to see if that would help a good site for service listings is www.blackviper.com ( the page is currently offline no eta when it will be back up) but there are several sites like it. I use teamspeak and run a teamspeak server on a different box I did have some udp port conflict crashes at first with icq instant messaging I resolved this by changing the port icq used to a different one

First off dude I was trying to help his problem. DONT USE TEAMSPEAK!! It is a pain in the arse to get working and when u do get it working the sound quality is crap.
The only reason why I am promoting Skype is cause I use it everyday with guild matters. It is great sound quality and it is everything team speak should be if not more. It works great with mutiple ppl on a call. You can also call land phone lines at a cost of course. But to use skype to skype it is free of charge. No need to host a server and such. The main reason I love it is the sound quality is by far superior than teamspeak.
His problem has to deal with teamspeak so I suggested to use skype. If he still has the same problem with skype then by all means it must be something else.
For his prob he has more than enough ram in his system to worry bout background programs siezing up his system. That has nothing to do with it. The only other problem it could be would be his sound card drivers. And he said he has up to date drivers. Then maybe it could be the program he was using. I have yet to hear if he has the same problem using skype.

DUDE!!!
You are crazy he has to have a butt load of programs running in the background to take up that gig of mem. Second off I am entilited to use any name for u as I can. You get pissy cause I told him to use skype. He can use whatever he wants. I dont care all i was saying was that he could test it out and see if he gets the same results. So it could help diagnose if he has a problem with his sound card. Get off your all in mighty I am the one that knows best. I gave the guy another option if he could not get it working with teamspeak. I dont see how he would need teamspeak as that is the only option. Which it isnt. But it that is what his guild uses then they might need to make a switch.
Secondly teamspeak u have to set up a server. Just plain stupid. Then u have to run the server in the background while u play then u need the program to be able to talk on teamspeak just garbage.(This is if he is the one running the server). With skype(no promotion going on just I use it) all u do is run it and call someone nothing in between.

I highly doubt that it is an issue with not enough memory or excess programs running in the background as you have a gig of RAM and neither TeamSpeak nor Guild Wars are very memory intensive applications. I would look more towards updating your sound drivers.

Hmmm...check your device manager (it's in the system properties) and see if there are any conflicts. I don't have much for ideas ATM.

Is there an ignore list? If so, I'd like to put Zyeox on it. EDIT: Nevermind, found it.

You can add me to your ignore list but I was just stating my opinon and some of us get all bent out of shape. As I said in a previous post. He can use what ever he wants to.
As me calling someone dude. I use that in a regular converstation all the time didnt think it was a derrogartory term. And lunarbunny dont see what I did to u to rectify u to ignore me. For the OP as I stated in a previous post check your sound card drivers and make sure u dont have conflicting irq settings for that card.
