No email!
My friend tried to sign up for guild wars today. They sent me an email with a link in it to register my account so i could play. He has not recieve his email yet and its been 3 hours now. He cant log in and he cant try to set up a new email. Anyone else have this problem? Is there e-mail server machine thingy down or is the guy who sends the mails taking the day off or what?

Did he enter the e-mail address properly? Is it in the spam section of his e-mail host? If he entered it improperly, it should be fine as long as he hasn't entered any keys yet. Then he can just open a new account with the proper e-mail address and voila! If it's in the spam section of his host, he'll either be lucky enough to have a host that just sends it to a seperate folder, or be unlucky enough to have one that deletes it all.
If you're wondering, I have 100 gmail invites for anybody.

He said he typed his address in correctly. Its a yahoo email address with no spam filters. He also typed in his cd key so he cant try to make another account. Everytime he trys to recreate it says his cd key has already been used. So do i have to go to the store with a penny and steal a new cd key for this kid or what?

The problem is probley the E-Mail. Some people don't bother checking their addresses, but he probley just typed it in wrong. If hes quite positive he did, then when he logs in there should be an option about E-Mail (on the main load page) to have it resent? I don't have the program here right now so I can't check.
If there is no resend option, then I suggest you try and contact Area Net via telephone for fastest responce time with the problem. He can probley have the account reset.

When I registered my game, gave them my email, it went me a reply and for me to go to a link to complete registration. That link has yet to work after days of trying. I found, however, that despite that issue, I am able to play the game and log into it (and having a blast, btw).
Try logging in and see if it's taken. You may not be dependent on completing the emailk registration to play. It did not affect me.

Theres no option on the main page to resend the email. He has tried to login despite not getting the email and no it wont let him. Do you know what the number is to call tech support? I didnt see it on the contact page or anywhere on the site for that matter. Maybe I am just blind. Let me know if anyone knows the number. Thanks
