Curse

I installed GW's last night and I am still unable to play. I boot into Guild Wars and after the loading screen it begins to fade into the Character 3rd Person view screen before my computer completely freezes requiring a hard restart. I've tried re-installing Guild Wars but that has made no change. I was using the 6*** something driver from Nvidia but upgraded to the 71.89 version but that still has no fix for my computer.
My computer info is:
* Windows 2000 Pro
* Pentium 4 2.8GHz
* 1 Gig Ram
* nVidia Geforce 4 FX 5600 (256MB)

Any ideas would be great since I'm getting no where and can't find a single shred of information to help me.

Have you tried running virus scan and done a complete scan with spybot search and destroy or some other spyware killer. Also, have you tried disabling anti-virus before logging on. Another thing is if you have a firewall installed you may need to open the correct port for guildwars to run.
