its not isp. ive had this happen to me and friends as well. albeit very rare .not sure what causes it. definantly ticks you off during a mission. i believe it to be related to that move crash bug in that bad patch a while back. its not a connection error but a command error.

Yeah, that's not a Guild Wars problem, it's an internet problem.

Have you tryed hooking directly to the router (and modem) wired? After you posted more information i'd bet its the router doing it.

Update: No Progress
Since I don't have a Netgear router, I don't think the FAQ applies after reading it. I have opened port 6112 on d-Link.
System Specs:
IBM Thinkpad T42
1.7 Ghz Pentium M
512 mb RAM
30 Gig HDD
Wireless G card (Intel PRO/1000 MT Mobile Connection)
Win XP Pro
Well, I contacted D-Link. I have had the most current version of the router firmware, and have enabled port 6112, enabled (was already on) gaming mode (whatever that is).
Still have problems.
Error =7 still persists. However, on a LAN connection wired in, I completed 3 hours worth of quests, with the Hunter's Horn being the only uncompleted quest (except the primary quests for each class) done.
I think it's a wireless connectivity issue because I can get like 0.00 mb/s every oh, 5 minutes which is fine for web surfing but untenable for GW. I just don't know what else to do. My wireless connection at school if fine though, even though I have a lower connection signal. Maybe it's the manufacturer...
Any other suggestions?

Have you tryed disabling any security settings the router has? Such as encyrption and such?

The problem is with your wireless connection. I really cannot provide any first hand advice for you since my connection is wired into my router by a cable (Linksys WRT54G router), but I heard a lot of cases from other users that have the same router as me that it would choke up from time to time when being connected through a wireless card. Maybe it's something with the router's hardware, maybe it's a firmware issue, maybe it's a poor quality signal, maybe it's bad wireless card, maybe it's bad wireless card drivers. It's not easy to diagnose such things unless you have a spare second card + router laying around (each from a different company than what you use now). All I can suggest is that you visit http://www.dslreports.com and browse their D-Link forums. Maybe someone will have an answer for you there.

When it comes to funny glitches: I've experienced one. Namely, Alesia (Yeah! Only her!) sometimes does a mean sky-walk after she resses at any shrine. She runs all the way (doing some air and cloud running) to the place where she died, then pops to the ground and starts running back to you. LOL?
I'll make a screenshot the next time it happens. ^^

Security
Currently, I am running WPA-PSK encryption but as far as I know the only thing encryption adds is a little traffic overhead so it's a bit slower.
The problem I am experiencing is inconsistency.

You could try changing the channel which your wireless router is using, it could be a noise issue so you might get a better connection with a different channel.

I have seen this happen a lot. It was annoying on the first time, frustrating the second time, and by now I just ROFL when she takes off. Not sure what causes this but I thought that one of the fixes that GW did was supposed to fix this...but i might be wrong. 1 solution though, don't let alesia die...

My suggestion: Get Xfire. In game chat in GW really helps in talking to someone with out constantly Alt+tabbing out. You just have to get the other person to get it too.
ive had Error 7 happen to me before. We have a router to share the internet connection to all the computers in my house. Whenever my dad plugs in a different cable from the router to his Tablet PC to use the internet, my connection to GW destabilizes and i get Error 7. It is always right after he plugs or unplugs the cable to connect his computer to the internet and it never happens any other time. So it is obviously a problem on my side, not the server.

I myself am using s linksys wireless router setup, spread across 3 machines. I have had the exact same issue pop up only when the game client says in green text "there is a new version of guildwars available, please exit and restart the program".
Never happens if I have it updated.
Maybe your ISP has some form of cap on your data rate?

It's a timing issuse on the Group Resurect, I have had a it a lot, and I noticed the resurection timer starts to count down before the last few henchies are dead.
It can get annoying as the flying henchies can get stuck mid flight and this means if you die you cannot res.

You know, it's almost unfair to leave the subject of this thread as "Guild Wars Stability A Joke!" seeing as how it's been pretty conclusively determined that network stability/connectivity is the culprit and not the game...
