The support site is down so I will post this here. I am crashing whenever I attempt to enter Vulture Drifts. This is making it very hard to finish the Ascension missions.

Each time I crash it generates a "serious crash pop-up" and prompts me to send an error report.

Any ideas what might be going on?

I'm assuming this only began after you got the latest patch? Sometimes the patches break the game for certain people. Check your components' temperatures to ensure that everything is within normal operating conditions, update ALL of your drivers (motherboard chipset, video card, etc.) then try reinstalling the game. If that doesn't help, then you should probably wait for the next patch.

There should be a crashlog file somewhere, I can only assume it's in the Guild Wars folder as I've never had it crash on me.

Could you post the contents of the file for us? It'd help a lot.

Don't see how this really helps. From what I have seen, updating the drivers may cause more problems than it solves, especially if he has an ATI 9xxx series card. There are several posters here with these cards and crashing problems.

If the original Poster could post his machine Specs too, that would help a great deal too.

I'm not saying that the ATI 9xxx series cards won't work, just noticing a trend from all the posts i have read where by people have 9xxx series cards and rolling back the drivers to Cat 4.11 seems to help some of them get gaming again, while ANet resolve whatever issue it is, that has been applied in the last few Updates that causes this problem.

Just out of interest, which Cat version are you currently running?

Hmmmm...new patch...several people posting about it breaking the game...Support DB goes down....maybe under the weight of a bunch of complaints?

Just crashed to desktop for the 5th time. It only occurs as I try to enter Vulture Drift, all other towns are safe.

I think the developers are hiding something from me.

Have you tried a complete reinstall of the game. Uninstall the game, reboot the machine. Delete any files if there are still any in the location of the GW directory. Then try a new install of the game and all the updates that come from AN. Then see if the problem is still there.
