if your parts are already on the way then best of luck building it...and I hope you enjoy it. it's gonna be a nice system.

just so you know. I've ordered a good amount of hardware through newegg...and I love them. I purchase through newegg almost exclusively...but they have a large problem with DOA...so don't get frustrated if some of your parts are DOA. They have an amazing RMA program.

DOA - Dead on Arrival
RMA - Return Merchandise Authorization

nah The ValueRAM will work perfectly. it's just that valueRAM has lower core settings and voltage levels. So It performs on a lower level than 'performance' RAM. I tend to purchase higher quality RAM over Higher Storage RAM. Corsair makes great RAM, best available (IMHO), so I expect you'll like even the ValueRAM.

a 120w PSU will be able to run it....will it be able to run it stable under full load??....honestly, I don't think so. But it's always worth trying. If you start to experience problems with power replace it. See the one nice thing about your RAM is that it's gonna be real real easy on your PSU. You might not have any problems at all. Everyone can claim they know this and they know that about building a computer...but different applications work for different people. My buddy runs a 300w PSU on his system and it works perfectly fine for him. It's all about trial and error. Put it in and give it shot. Though you might want to consider looking at newegg. If they advertised a 420w PSU....they owe you a 420w PSU, even if it was a printing error.

Please, don't turn this post into an NVidia V ATI thread. If you have no constructive advice, then please don't reply.

This guy is confused enough as it is already with everything being said and these sorts of comments are not accepted here and are frowned upon by Forum Admin as Fanboism.

Thank you.

only suggestion is that i tell people if they are building a computer to game on, the most important things they are buying are the video card and the memory...so dont skimp there

Look at the enormous carebear.

This nvidia card versus the ati - price = the nvidia wins. simple as that.

they don't have a reputation for delivering 1 day ahead of schedule....they're never late though. Once it leaves the newegg wharehouse there isn't much newegg has to do with it...at that point it's Fedex

What do you mean by loose? If you mean it moves up and down, and side to side quite a lot, then may be a problem. If it just moves slightly side to side, then that's pretty normal. Memory isn't rock solid tight, as you wouldn't get it in the slot otherwise.

Oh, did the Memory Clips hook the memory into place properly and make sure you have the memory around the right way and seated properly. Memory only goes one way, so shouldn't be too hard, and normally, if slight pressure is put on it as you push, the clamps should just lock down.

Mine was totally different it had clamps that you had to push to the left and right, insert the memory, and push it back, but it just would not work that way so i just put the ram in one clip and tried to insert it diagonally into the other one, but it still did not work. So i have only 1 clip that is holding the ram, yet it doesnt move much, only about 1/4 mm when you try to move it.

It sounds like you either have the wrong memory for your Mobo, or you haven't lined up the cutouts on the ram with the Notches in the Ram slots.

Memory will only go in one way and if you only have one clip down, you don't have it in right.

To put memory into a mobo, both clips need to be pushed to the side, line up the memory with the Notches and then firmly push into the Dimm slot the right way around, and this should automatically bring the clips down locking the Dimm into place.

If this isn't working for you, as I mentioned in this Post to begin with, if you are unsure what you are doing or having difficulties, before you break something, get a friend who has a lot more experience at this sort of thing than you, and ask for assistance.

Don't be afraid to ask for help, as not doing so, will cause you more grief and you will definitely break something.

If you don't want to take this advice, then accept the consequences of your actions.

Okay, so i sucessfully installed the ram, video card, heatsink, power supply, and cpu and dvd drive/hdd/floppy drive. Whenever i connect my Dell P780 monitor to my newly made system, i just get the "Monitor is in Power Save Mode. Activate using PC." The monitor does not recognize that i have it connected. I press delete but the bios does not come up. Any ideas?
