2 tries and you're ready to give up? I've know some people who took 6+ tries to beat it. For that mission you need someone who can shut down the monk boos while you kill the priest. It could be a mesmer or ranger with disruption or even an Ele with Meteor Shower and Maelstrom. 2 monks is also a good idea and the rest should be damagee build is pretty flexible, but just don't give up.

NOTE: Wrong forum. =]
Thirsty is tough but it's not hard if you have an organized team. I'm sure if you got to the last group, you already know that eliminating the patrol groups outside is important. The only difference with the last one is that you engage the patrol from the front so that you do not aggro the second group inside.
It's really important to take out the bowmen. From my experience, they can focus fire and eat up your casters. Many times I've seen everyone just focus fire on the priest the moment the first patrol is eliminated, while this method does work against the other groups, the boss healer severely hampers this strategy. The boss healer will prolong the priest long enough so that the avengers/bowmen will kill your casters or the respawn the enemy units.
You need to takeout as many of the enemy units outside as possible before attacking the priest. I know, it's easier said than done but i find having condition removal (okay, blind removal) essential so that warriors can substain constant damage and casters be able to meteor shower the casters. Also, attacking 10 seconds earlier (before the respawn) always help as well as focusing fire.
I'm sure what I'm writing is pretty common sense but probably not really useful but nothing beats a good, direction following, organized team.
NOTE: I find it much easier with a mesmer in the team .

Take out the mobs on the outside, rush the priest, and kill the rest at leisure.
You have 2 minutes to kill the priest in each group, before the priest ressurects all the mobs in that small area again.
If you get through the first boss in about 2:15 minutes, wait until 3:45 or so before killing, that first 15 seconds gives you a little edge, because you probably won't have killed anything in that 15 seconds before the priests automatically ressurect.
I'll reiterate what was said, have a mesmer who can shut down casters and/or a ranger that can interrupt spells.

I should also add that the bonus seem a bit bugged too. My group have completed Thristy River in under 10 minutes, but when i turn around to see if the king still there, he was not. He either got killed by the mob of monsters that were near him. Or he left since we went over the time limit. But i heard from different sources that he won't leave till 12 minutes. So i thought to myself the bonus is gone.
After the mission was over, i click on the map icon and i was surprise to see.. two swords across the badge for Thristy River... did any get this kind of bug?

Yea I got lucky, I was with an exellent group the other day and we all hit that and got the bonus too boot...
2 warriors
1 necro
1 mesmer
1 shutdown Ranger with Pet
And ME Total Healing Monk/Elementist. this was my 3rd character through it and it was SOOO easy that time I was like OMG... I think we only had two people die the whole mission. once was me, and the other guy died cause I didnt watch my own energy while healing in the second part, and he didnt have the support he needed. A quick rez to me and I rez him back and off we were again. total time in mission was like 15 mins... Mission time for battle was 7mins. And yes we did go get the Giants for the Health Bonus first. +10% before first Battle area. so it is worth doing that.
And just because you are healing only, with only a staff to fight with does not mean you do not get good drops. I got 2 purple and 1 gold armor drop in the mission.

I and others did some testing regarding drops. Being a healer is fine. You don't even have to heal. Just stand near other people. You don't get drops if you are way off the map when the monster dies, though.
