Inventory freeze
I'm having an odd problem with my inventory screen. Whenever I bring it up, no matter where I'm at, the game will freeze for around 2 minutes at a time, maybe giving me a 5 second window between freezes to actually use my inventory or exit out of it. Also, 90% of the time when this happens, the graphics will not load right so the items in my inventory or in my char window appear as random static. Is there any way i can fix this? My system specs are as follows:
Athion XP 2200+ 1.8Ghz
Geforce FX 5200 128MB
512MB memory
Hi-speed DSL connection
I have the latest Nvidia driver, which I installed during the last beta event, and have DirectX 9.0c. Any help would be much appreciated because this makes salvaging and identifying nearly impossible.

Can anyone please assist me with this issue? It's still happening even after the last patch and I'd really like to know the cause so I can fix it.

Same
I offer no help, but perhaps relief....Don't worry it happens to me too, but not for 2 minutes! It probably happen to me for about 15 sec max. and it usually happens when I switch from bag to bag. No one has responded to me either on the other post and I am still patiently waiting.

It has also happened to me. I posted a thread on it a month or so back, but no one could come up with a solution then either.

Just out of interest, are all you guys running NForce 2 Boards?
If so, then uninstall the NVidia IDE SW Driver and see if this helps solve your freeze and lock up problems.
Sounds strange, but just going by what I read in one of the stickies the other day.

I too am having this problem, even with all the latest drivers, including motherboard and such.
I have found some interesting things that will help out a bit.
First:
Unless you need to equip or de-equip an item, never, ever, ever open your "inventory" Instead, hit F9. This will bring up all of your backpacks puches and bags in one nice window. I have not locked up once with this method. It also has the added benefit of being able to see all of your slots at once, making organizing, ID'ing and salvaging much easier.
Second, if you must for some reason open your inventory, find a small town, and a district with very few people in it. The fewer the better. These lock ups occur much more frequently when your card is busy rendering lots of toons.
Hope this helps

Hey, you guys notice a trend. It's all Nvidia cards. The game is optimised for ATI, so ATI users have little if no problems. Might want to experiment with different drivers...

I've recently been having this problem too >.<
And yes, i have a nVidia card. GeForce FX5200. And an AMD Processor (XP 3000+)
This has only been happening in the last couple of days though...and i'm thinking it might be a patch or update in-game that is causing this? Though there is nothing on the game updates page on the official site to suggest this.

Right he is. I had this problem as well on my old nVidia card, but I recently got a Radeon (ATI) and have not seen it since.
