OK, i'm (clearly) new, and i have some questions. I actually HAVE read the sys req, and i fall admirably short, most notably in the processor department (500 mHz). I Have a P3, an' i was wondering if anyone could point me to a place where i could figure out how to oc it via software. I don't exactly own a soldering iron, so hardware is outta the question.... if ne1 can help, i'd be much obliged.

Sorry, but if you dont know much about overclocking, leave it well alone, at best you may get 100mhz on top of what you have already got, but you would need to get a better cpu cooler, if I recall correctly P3's didn't like to be overclocked and ran quite hot. And if your really unlucky you'll damage it beyond repair..

Guild wars needs a minimum 800mhz cpu and you would not get a 75% overclock on your P3.

My advice is to try to salvage what you can from your pc and save for some upgrades

no way you're ever gonna be able to overclock a 500mhz to 800mhz, even with all the hardware/software tweaks and liquid nitrogen cooling

CPU prices aren't that high anymore (specially the lowend), so you should realy be looking at upgrading ...

I have an older P3 800. Since the latest updates it has become quite annoying to play with. It is just too darn slow even on the bare min set up. You need a faster computer. Sorry to tell you that, but that is the brass facts.
