True but at the rate they changes to the client (besides the breaking possible DMCS and EULA) that be a lot of work / time it would take to remake it.

I can see a Mac Client happening before a Linux client but not a bad idea with the petition. Putting this game on the console's (like ffxi, PC, PS2, and soon Xbox360) would give them a nice user base as well as Linux & Mac.
