lol thats what I was afraid of getting out... lol though we beta and alpha testers prob know how it could be done. Its just NOT... for that simple reason... We dont want those people getting their grubby little hands on the technique. And I know Anet Doesnt want that knowledge out or used... so in anycase. thanks for the added assurance there...

No probs,
But just to re-iterate my intentions with this....
To provide a way of running 2 guild wars accounts, simultaniously, on the same machine, allowing a player to run thier other account through certain areas of the map, OR allowing trade between the accounts without relying on third party intervention..
IF aNet would make some form of storage deposite box where players can pay say, 100gp to place an item in the box, password it, give it a name, then the other player/account can go and pick up the item, using the password. they could also add an "acceptance cost" on it too, which would also help secure trading a little more. IF they did this, There would really be no need for running two at once, - you could ask a friend to run you through areas of the map (yeah, ok, you can do that any ways, but its just easier to do it yourself) but other than that, there would be no other reason to need 2 at once...
Just for you people like Ingram, In the zip that im willing to send people (remembring im not giving out an original Gw.exe file, AND im not giving out any keys (since its the key/packaging you pay for (as with ANY software)) So im not giving out warez) but inside this zip, is a disclaimer, advising people not to use it if they downloaded from a website etc, and only if they got it from me, because thats the only guarantee i can and will offer against any form of malicious code within the exe...
I will however, not do this, nor give it out should I be requested by ArenaNet/NCSoft etc.

I think it would be easier to manage the duo-accounts if you had two monitors connected to your PC. One Guild Wars window per screen =P
Nifty stuff by the way.

I had posted a risk-free way of doing it long back here
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...11&postcount=5
Though thats a very slow way, its assuredly 100% risk-free, legal and ethical. Using hex-editors is always a risk.

I have 2 monitors set up, But I put them on one for a few reasons.. 1) for the pic, because most people only have 1 monitor, just wanted to show 2, on 1.. and reason 2) havin them on 2 monitors, people may say "well, thats 2 pc's thats not really 2 on 1 pc" - etc..
But yes, 2 monitors works well...

Doesnt require 2 video cards, 99% of cards now come with Dual DVI or SVGA and 1 DVI, this allows the use of 2 monitors, on one card...
yes, it requires 2 accounts, but if your reading this thread you either have 2 accounts and want 2 copies running, or your thinking about getting a second account..

It may be more common then you think compared to what it was in the past. Hand me down pc for kids, adults get new one, both on high speed internet that came with a router or someone has a laptop and wireless.
