Been playing a couple days now and the game runs fine most of the time. I do, however, experience the game locking up when my inventory is open - and only when my inventory is open - for about 5 to 10 seconds. I was browsing the forums and noticed some other dude posted the same problem but there were no solutions to his query so I thought i'd repost the question.

My system specs exceed the recommended settings. I run various anti-spyware programs in the background as well as McAfee antivirus.

any thoughts?

I had this issue a long while back as well. I had an NVidia GeForce 4 video card, and was never able to fix it with updated drivers. I no longer have this problem on my Radeon card though, so you will likely have to live with it or buy a new card.

I had the same problem, but the weird thing is, the problem fixed itself somehow. Dunno what happened, but it stopped after about a month. lol

I had the same thing, but it was only for a week or so. It mysteriously came and left, and I never figured out why it happened.

I have the same problem, although in the past week it seems to have gotten worse. Previously, it would only lock up for approx 5 seconds when I'm in an outpost or town (especially when there is a lot of players around) but now it is happening when out and about.
I've learned to live with it as I know that my system set up is not the best, but it can be really annoying when trying to salvage and/or identify multiple items.
Just for reference, my graphics card is a Geforce FX 5200 (128 Mb) and I'm running the lastest driver.

I have had the same problem too but I have found that it is only when I open my inventry bags, and if I use the 'bags' view (F9) I can view them without the lag.

I also get lock up when I complete a mission and the shining shield displays, but as soon as this animation ends my game comes back.

Other people are troubled by this too.
