Guild Wars causes computer to restart
Hi everyone.
My friend doesnt speak english very well so she asked me to post this for her. While she is playing GW her computer restarts sooner or later, sometimes after 5 minutes and sometimes 2 hours. Does anyone know how to fix this? Her computer is celeron 2.66ghz 512mb ram and integrated intel 8291 graphic card. |

With a 90% probability, it's overheating. If available, check in the Windows error log. If there are either (a) no entries or (b) a wide variety of entries relating to different memory errors, you can bump that probability up to 95%. If there are any other entries, that would be a good starting point for your investigation.
The fix involves cleaning the inside of the PC. You may find a can of compressed air helpful. Basically you are looking to blow out dust buildup from the air ducts/heatsink etc. Last edited by Dralspire; Dec 08, 2005 at 05:10 PM // 17:10.. |

looks like a overheating problem. try adding another case fan and things should be alright.
