Screen resolution not changing
I had to re-install Guild Wars and now I cannot set my resolution to anything but 1024 x 768. It acts like it is going to change it but when the screen comes back up, before I acceot or revert, the settings still say 1024 x 786. Any ideas?

I had this problem for a period of time, and it was always solved by restarting my computer

I tried that once and it did not help but I will try a full shutdown and let it sit for a few minutes before restarting it back up to see.

Make sure you have your mointer/lcd driver installed. If it's running on the generic display driver it will restrict your resolution.
Max Resoultion and Refresh rate is limited by the mointer driver.

Drivers were the first thing I checked, they were all set right and current.
I did however manage to solve this problem today. What I did was in the Guild Wars folder I deleted the .TMP and .DAT files. This forced them to be rebuilt when I logged in and from there everything is working fine.
Thank you all for your help and quick responses.

It may be something similar to what happened to me. Are you in window mode or full mode? It will change resolutions in one of them, but not the other. Can't for the life of me remember which, (I'm away from home computer)

It was in full screen mode, never tried it in windowed so I dont know if that was effected as well. But like I said it was solved simple enough by deleting the .DAT and .TMP files and thus forcing them to be rebuilt by the program.
