Err7 Due to New Update
Well, I am not able to play Guild Wars anymore because I have a Linksys Wireless connection, and I keep ketting Err7 (disconnected). I can log in to Guild Wars, but when I click on my character, and the loading screen comes up, it starts to load, and ALWAYS disconnects my internet connection on me. .
This is extremely frustrating... Imagine making a sweet looking Assassin or Ritualist in PvP screen, checking out all the sweet spells and skills, and then saying YES!... only to find out that when you load, it disconnects you. This means I CAN'T play as the Assassin or Ritualist. Wow, that makes me feel better...

I'm sorry to say, but don't expect help from anyone if you cannot help yourself. There are port forwardings you can do, and turning off your firewall... If wish to quit without trying anything then by all means do so. I do suggest you try to put an effort and help yourself. I don't see the point behind this post besides you saying that your going to "quit".

Actually, after putting up this post, I logged back into Guild Wars and tried time after time until it eventually LOADED. I'm so hooked now. Oh, and thanks dimirpaw, your sarcasm helped me a lot. I never said I was going to quit, this is the "technician's corner"... where you state your computer problems.

I'm really glad you posted this, because I'm having a similar problem. Despite having played Guild Wars for many months without issue, the most recent update has stopped me connecting at all. Even more bizarrely, if I run it in a window, I see that when I click "connect" on the logic page, it actually disconnects my wireless network!
I can run any other game, no problem, play it online etc... can do anything on the Internet, but (completely replicably every time) when I try and run Guild Wars and connect, it disconnects my wireless network and thus error 7's!

Ugh, I hate it when updates load because I know I'm going to lag out a few times before I actually can get into a town. I'm fine now, I can play Assassin and Ritualist perfectly in Team Arena and the Random Arena, so basically I'm okay, but I know how you feel about the Err7 problem. Happens to me way too often.
Worst Case ever: I lagged out on a free Droks run. I'm still not over it.

An easy thing to do is reboot after the updates. It should help clear up some "clogged" memory.
