how do i figure out what kind of how much power my power supply has? i looked at the PS but it does not say how many watts it is, atleast not to this noobs eyes.

There's a sticker on the side that has all of the info you need. You can look up the model number on the web, or, post a picture of that sticker and we'll help you out.

you will need to open the computer case and look at the side of the psu (im assuming you're just looking at the back where the plug goes) on the side of the psu there should be a sticker listing each voltage rail and the max current (amps) it can supply. the ones you are interested in are the 12V rail and the 3.3V rail. give us all the rails though and list your computer specs in as much detail as you can and we will advice you on whether your psu is sufficient.
do this before you upgrade your graphics card

i found out its a 300watt, funny thing is, i put it in their and i didnt know, i need atleast 350watt for the graphics card

yep first thing you need to do is get a new power supply. go for a good name brand such as antec or tagen and look at 380w and up
