BUG in Tomb of the Primaveral Kings????
Hi Guys,
i've encountered a big problem with the second level wurms........almost impossible to kill them. Yesterday i've spent 30 minutes unsuccessfully;
when i start attacking them they.....ualà disappear like phatasm.... We have tried all the possible solutions but nothing.
Someone of you have encountered the same problem????

I'm not entirely sure this is a bug as much as it was an AI update from a couple updates ago. I used to see the Wurms would eventually just stay up and sit there dumbfounded. However since one update, they will quite often go up and down especially if under any AoE attack. The best thing to try would be have a Tank type character try to hold the Wurms focus and to avoid any attacks that cause AoE style damage. That way it may stay up and it tries to kill the tank type character while the others should (hopefully) have enough time to kill it.

Teklord,
we have tried all the possible solutions included that you have suggested.
At the end we were so bored and angry that we have decided to leave.
This is very frustrating

I have "heard" of using the spell "Throwing dirt". I have no idea if this works because I have no Ranger to try it with. What I heard was it will keep them up so you can finish them off.

When a wurm comes up. DO NOT MOVE, ANYONE.
If the person they happen to have targetted moves they will go down. Everyone just stay in place and attack them. If you must move to heal or better group, do it once, have everyone come to the spot of the wurm and then hold tight.

The do not move doesnt always seem to work. A couple times I was attacked and I didnt even touch my keyboard and the wurm went straight back down after taking one shot at me.
What seems to help with my groups is having lots of minions with us. The minions do enough damange for the little bit of time it is up that eventually it will die.

Perhaps he hit you and swtiched targets and that person moved? I am not sure that the targeting portion is always correct, but I haven't had problems, or rather, extended problems, with the wurm as long as no one moved.
This is always more difficult however if you happen to trigger the wrum while you are still fighting the craps and have to move to avoid them.
That usually becomes the run away time. One time had just a guildie monk and myself left after we ran all the way back to the beginning and the wurm was still chasing us. We held still, she kept me healed and protected and I just nuked the hell out of it, then we went back and res'd.

if its the first 2 worms your talking about, u need to lure them back so you are near the bridge otherwise they will not stay upright.
