The game should not be shutting down. Make sure the fan is working on your existing card. If it isn't contact XfX about a replacement. The 6800GT is perfectly capable of running guild wars.

lol price doesnt matter eh ? mmmm I smell SLI with a couple 7800s

Is it only GW or all 3d games?

btw you shouldnt need added cooling unless you are overclocking that puppy which could also be a reason it is shutting down...

XFX ...love them, never had a problem....
if u registered ur card on thier website, u get....LIFETIME warranty...call them up, and they will send u a fan or a new card...depending on whats the problem.

U say the fan is messed up...what did u do to it????

Send it back to your card's manufacturer so they can send you a replacement.

Installing another cooler on the card will void your warranty.

(The NV Silencer is very nice, I have one on my 6600GT.)

Nope, it wont, if it was sent to u as a replacement (DIY)
even if u buy a new one...just keep the original in case u have to send the card back, just swap it out

Same thing with CPU coolers and fans...as long as u send them original equipment, there is nothing they can do or say

I was talking about 3rd-party cooling solutions like the NV Silencer, but whatever.

I tried to RMA my PNY 6600GT (defective fan, replaced fan) and they would not accept it with the original equipment/parts/box.

PNY and XFX are different companies. Some companies have different ways on how you can void/keep your warranty on items.
