What are you jabbering on about now, the X800 or the X1600pro? Why do you post a thread entitled "X800 voltage" and then go on to enquire as to the voltage of the X1600pro?

You do realise that the time you've spent posting inane questions here you could have bloody well built at least 3 decent rigs!

For some reason I've come to the conclusion that you don't have a bloody clue!

I have read that the X800 series is faster then the X1600. The X1600 only has 12 pipes compared to the 16 Pipes of the X800's.

Res Surection....This is just plain silly. Why don't you go online Google all the information you need. Then just make a decision! This is what most of us do.

Quite frankly we get tired of all these questions that you can figure out yourself...

the x800 and x850 are the TOP end of the xX00 range (with x300 being the low, and x600 being the mid)

the x1600 is the LOW end (the x600 equivelant) of the x1800/x1900

the x1600 performs about the same as an x800 (my x1600 AGP scored 20 lower in 3D mark, than my m8s x850 PCI-E)

the x10k range have all the latest Technologies, such as Shader 3.0, and stuff...

I hope that answers that...

Oh, and Ideally ANY Radeon past the x600 requires ATLEAST a 350 watt power supply, Depending what else you have in the machine (350 watt is based on single media drive (DVD rom/writer) and single Hard Drive)

IF you have 2x Hard Drives, and 2x other drives, and then maybe 3 extra case Fans, and maybe even a Light in your case, i'd reccomend a minimum of 500 watt..

Not to be mean or anything but the sheer number of technical help posts you've made Res, and clearly you're unsure of a lot of things it might be more beneficial to browse the hardware dedicated sites, such as www.tomshardware.com or www.techreport.com - they also have forums which are dedicated to all hardware questions and issues.. for example the TR one at http://techreport.com/forums/ & also Tom's hardware graphics card roundup/comparison - http://www.tomshardware.com/site/vgacharts/index.html

http://www.experts-exchange.com/ Experts' Exchange is also a superb help centre and info source for all things hardware related.

I'm not sure the GWG Tech Corner is cut out for this level and intensity of questioning

1600x1200, all high, Full anti aliasing, I have been up to 75 FPS...

it varies tho, depending how wide area your looking at, how many other people's characters are in view, etc...

Its been as low as 15 fps, (not for long tho)

Also another site I used to visit a lot - good old Overclockers at http://www.overclockers.com/ again they also have a good hardware forum (including threads on which graphics cards etc)

You'll find all these sites are dedicated to hardware, and as a result the forum posters are mostly talking about hardware/issues etc. Probably a good idea to at least look through them.

Important edit: Overclockers.com is geared to the overclocker enthusiasts (obviously) but for the love of God please don't try to do things like overclocking or volt mods or anything else you might encounter over there; you'll break something I'm sure, wait until you know how things all work inside out and you fully understand how everything works. For now, just stick to the regular stuff.. what to buy/how fast it runs etc.

:/ I really dont like OverClockers -- You know they got Sued by Microsoft a couple of years back?? cause they were loading 'illegal' copies of XP onto thier new machines, and sending them out loaded up.... as-well as various other things...

I have never liked them, I have ALWAYS been able to find the exact components cheaper elsewhere, and when ever I DID try them, they got the product wrong (they sent out the wrong (OLDER) model) and when I tried to return it, thier customer service was virtually none existant.
