you are wrong.
the first email is automated to weed out the simple problems.
if you dont tell them that doesnt help within 24 hours the system closes the ticket.
answer in less than 24 hours and you get bumped up to a person who will try to help.

I have got many e-mails from guild wars support about my freezing problem,
it is true that the first one is stoumated then the rest are sent up the line of tech people. E.g. GMtrent (the guy i got after the automated response) might be there to help you to fix a simple problem then it goes up ti GMIan (the guy i got after GMtrent) who trys to help with bigger problems.

I'd run some harddrive diagnostics and check that the drive itself is working fine, and the corruption isn't from a failing HD. If your GW is installed onto a 130+ GB HDD, do you have latest service packs for windows XP, or Big Drive Enabler for W2000/XP.

I have the same problem, and the techsupport haven't given me any useful answer to why this happens,I would want to run this HD test you were talking about, where I can find a diagnostic tool to test my HD?

I had this same problem with a few different video card drivers. There was an older ATI Cat driver that gave me the problem and also a modded 6.3 driver gave me the white boxes and the whole repair data archive deal. I installed the latest official ATI driver and haven't had the problem for a while now. I'm not sure how this affected the archive but some how it did.

Guys, the tech teams do work. Once you have an ongoing e-mail with them, you actually ge to someone that really knows what they are dealing with, it just takes some time to get to that knowledgable person, and they have a proccess of elimination that they go through to make sure that your computer is performing properly, and that the info is getting to them as well. Keep the e-mail going daily and work with them. I hope this one never happens to me. Lag was my trouble, and still is. Just be persistant. This is your fun game, give them some time, they will get it figured out.
