Frustrating Game Crashes
Alright.
Guild Wars usually runs fine on my PC. I've ran it with alot of stuff in background, I've ran it for over 20 hours, and it has no problems.
EXCEPT.
For some reason, when I open my inventory, or open my character profile, the game locks up for a few seconds. Okay, no biggie. The problem is, sometimes, it simply crashes after the lock up. Often, the hero/inventory screens would have messed up graphics.
This also happens during the start of GvG's and HA's(when you see the flags of teams) - the flags are often messed up(having random text and colours on them), and I *always* get a 10 second lock up whenever I start GvG and HA, not to mention that sometimes the game crashes outright.
Before I mail guild wars tech support, I'd like to know if anyone has had this problem, and could offer any simple solution. Note that these are the *only* times I have ever had problems with guild wars.
I usually play on low spec, to avoid choppiness in PvP. My video card is an NVidia MX 440.

Erm, 512MB.
Again, these are the only times when GW crashes. It doesn't crash mid-GvG/HA, it doesn't crash when I go into <insert crowded district here>, it ONLY crashes on these 3 occassions. That is, opening hero screen, opening inventory screen, and starting GvG/HA(When the two teams' flags are shown).
I suppose it could be some file corruption that is messing up the graphics for these, and causing the game to lock up. Or something.

Are you sure it's not a Ti 4400 series card? Because I think the MX models would be something like 440 or 460. If it really is one of the MX models, you're going to have some problems most likely.

maybe it is that your 3d card is too old or that you drivers are too old, so you should update your drivers.
It also could be that you just need to reinstall GW and then it could run fine, and if both options doesn't work you maybe need to reinstall your pc and if that doesn't fix the problem you should buy a new 3d-card (if your 3d card is too slow or too old)

I'd start by reinstalling the game, your GW.dat could be corrupted.
Also, there's a possibility your video card may be going bad. You can't test it with rthdribl since it's not a DX9 card, but maybe looping some 3DMark to see if that crashes it would be a good start. You may be lucky and just be seeing symptoms now, which will buy you time to upgrade before Total Death(TM) ensues.
