Default Will Guild Wars run under my computer spec?

Intel Pentium 4 2.53 GHz
Installed Memory 512 MB (RDRAM (RAMBUS))
Operating System Microsoft Windows XP Professional
RAM Technology RDRAM (RAMBUS)
Installed RAM 512 MB
Installed Video Memory 32 MB
Hard Drive Capacity 60 GB
Hard Drive Interface ULTRA ATA
Optical Drive Read Speed 48x (CD)
Audio Output Type Sound Card
Nvidia FX6200 256MB AGPx8 Dual head Video Card V45

Will it lag during gameplay? like say an area with mass players casting spells and such?

logically, that setup is perfectly fine for playing guild wars. what typically causes lag during battles or in a game such as guild wars is the video card. i do not like nvidia, and have such never used them. i don't know the benchmarks of the card and don't intend to look at them because it is nvidia(no offense to you or anything). Although, I do believe you will have no problem at all with it.

Same here, I never tried Nvidia but to my view, I recommend you to use an ATI graphic card. Currently, i am running an ATI Radeon X1300Pro 256MB AGP 8X Graphics Card and I did not get any lag so far....

Yes, that system should run GW just fine... You may not be able to run it on crazy high resolution, but it will run.

I have a X1600, and I get lag once in a while... It is bound to happen.

X1600 is an excellent card for its price. That lag you experience is more than likely spikes in the connection between you and the anet servers. It is of course always bound to happen. If anyone says they don't ever experience lag, they are lying. I play on the T3 at my work sometimes, and then I still have a spike every now and then.

This system looks like mine.

Intel IV 2,80Ghz
512 Dual Ram
80Gb HD (7200 RPM Ultra ATA)
NVidia GForce 4, AGP 8x
WinXP:Pro SP2 OS

I run it 1280x1024, with high graphic quality (not the higher). Although in any important even I set it to 1024x768, because it's not 100% fluid at 1280x1024

With 80Hz refresh rate.

I'd say the most important thing to play GW is Internet Connection.

Regards,
Chaale

I ran it on a 1GHz Pentium 3 with 512MB RAM and onboard 32MB video. It ran fine.

But that was Prophecies. For some reason in Factions I get horrible low fps, and this system is a 256MB X800 and A64 3200+ with 1GB RAM, so you might have trouble in Cantha.
