OK, this isnt a serious thing that means I cant play, but its still REALLY annoying.

Basicly, GW will run fine, no problems, for hours on end. When I stop playing and close GW, the computer just reboots straight away - as soon as you hit that exit button. When it has restarted it comes up with a serious error message (asks to submit report etc). This happens pretty much every time I play, although very occasionally it doesnt happen, but I cant see any connection between these times (like there is no connection with how long i play for, its happened after both long and short sessions)

Ive tried reinstalling GW, but that hasnt fixed it, and I dont really know where to go next... im not a computer boffin!

So yeah, any ideas what this might be? Im getting quite annoyed having to wait for the computer to reboot, and it cant be good for it (it says serious error after all!! :P)

try cleaning the inside of your computer out, you also might want to either by a new cooling fan or install xp service pack 2

Are you using an NVidia video card with older drivers? This was a known issue that was corrected with a newer driver release.

This is a serious problem and if it persists it could cripple your computer. Your computer is crashing as a result of guildwars.

First things first you have to turn off the automatic reboot after an error.

(Press WinKey-Break, or (Start/Run/Sysdm.cpl), Advanced Tab, Start Up and Recovery/Settings/System Failure/Unmark "Automatically Restart"/Ok/Ok.

Record the file that gives you the error. And contact Anet.

^ he doesn't say it "bluescreens" the application just crashes and asks to send an error report.

In a way he did. The computer will not show a blue screen unless it is set not to reboot automatically. The "serious error message" is a dead give away.

You do not want your computer to keep doing this or you may end up rebuilding the operating system.

Sleepy's right, OS rebuilds are a pain. I recommend you export your registry, saving it on a partition/drive other than the one with your OS. You click Start button, go to Run, and type "regedit"(without quotes), then this

This way, after you reinstall your OS(should you have to, hopefully you wont), you can import the registry, and wont have to reinstall everything.
