I'm currently playing on a dial-up connection, and although i installed the guild wars Prophecies through disc when i luanch the game and begin to play it has to download thousands of files (Factions Content i assume) and i do have factions, however i do not have th CD w/me to install it, and bcuz im on dial-up the downloading of the files in games could literally take days, so i was wondering what i should do or if anyone has a link where i can download a Factions Full game Client.

Wouldn't the DL speed of this game client be the same as the DL speed of the files DL'ing now?

the client is the same for all chapters.

and i hate to add this but you are getting Nightfall as well as Factions.

it could also be thousands of chapter one updates as well.

after you finally get it downloaded you can burn a copy of your dat file (with a backup) to use for fast reinstall if needed.

if you have a dvd burner make the copy with no compression and dont skip the data integrety check to make sure what tou burned is good.

this will save much time if you have to do it again

Is thee anything I can do to download these files faster?I`m also on Dial-up.

No, not really! You're limited by the speed of your connection. You can't download any faster than your connection allows.

If you have a friend with high speed internet and a dvd burner (and you have a dvd rom / burner).

You can run guildwars with the -image swich to force everything to download, then burn it to dvd and just replace the downloaded gw.dat on top of your incomplete one.

It is possible someone has put the gw.dat out p2p but not seen it (nor looked for it).

You can also leave your dial connected and leave it run over night.
