Multi-Account Issues
I realize this problem must be very common, but I couldn't find discussion about it on any of the forums... I must be blind...
So. What about those who have two or more accounts but only one PC? I know, no wonderplayer could possibly play multiple characters at once, but that's not what I meant. I'd really like some kind of account sharing solution to exchange items between characters on my two accounts.
What solutions I can think of right now, from the most complex to the most simple:
- Adding an extra option in the game to send whispers and trade requests to offline characters, appearing to them when they would next come online... it wouldn't matter if the requesting character would already be offline at that time as he/she could react to the changes the next time he/she loggs on. This way it would be like normal trading/whispering... only with extended possibilities. (Contracting whispering and trading into one option would make this even simpler as they would appear in one message window, besides, trading rarely works without communication.)
- Making a new in-game option called something like storage sharing, which would be an invitation sent from one account to another, and enabling only when both agreed to it... the essence is that both accounts would have access to both storages.
- Enabling GW to run multiple processes under one OS. This is a really simple solution and would solve all multi-account issues.
If anyone knows any other solutions (even ones that would not require to include the devs to work), they are very welcome to share their ideas with us.
Sorry for speaking that much.
