constant err7
Hi, my problem is that +/- since the update (from this last nightfall event) i've started to have a big lag, with the game freezing and constant drops (i can't finish a ha run without one).
well i have been playin the game since the release of the prophecies campaign, and i never had lag problems that i couldn't solve, but this one seems really nasty :S.
So i would really appreciate if someone could help me here.
tecnically: i have these err7 and lag, but it doesn't has the same effect on the voice chat that we have (TS2), coz it goes without problems. i phonned to the internet company, and they said that everything was fine. i tryed to see if it was a graphic card problem, but doesn't seem so. (it's a Nvidia Gforce 6600 turbo force edition, it's not really good, but should run this game without problems.). the connection is done via a router(linksys, wireless-G 2.4 ghz, but the connection is done by a cable.), well i don't understand much about this, but if it was a router problem, wouldn't it affect the connection to the ts2 server too?
well people here around the game are saying that the GW european server is in a mess, too many players for it to handle, is this true?is that why i'm getting the err7s?
Well my connection is made by netcabo, and for now my best feeling is that it may be some kind of incompatibility between the game and the ISP, (the strange thing is that i have this ISP since i've started to play this game, more than 16 months ago. and this never happenned untill now).
any help is appreciated.
thx in advance
Dom

I think it's a case of NCSoft with their big bag of cut corners myself when it comes to the servers, as this err7 business is now getting beyond a joke, if there was a problem with your internet connection, you'd drop everything including the TS server.
I've found that when I use a US server theres hardly any problems so I'm inclined to agree that the Euro one is indeed up the creek without a paddle.

Well, thx for the answers, so far i really couldn't get the anet address to check the connections (so if anyone gets it, let me know ), but a guildmate told me that i wouldn't get any reliable information by doing so, and to do the -diag on gw instead, then i got a bunch of information, but the problem is that i don't indestand 9/10 of it. so I'll post it here.
i also thought to send this information to arena.net support, but the only think i can get from it, is the ticket system, does anyone know the mail address of the anet support?

well, thx for the suggesting tips, and i've done really lots of things and now it's much better, i think that i don't have a 1/99999999999 of the lag i had before.
What i've done was: - i called to my ISP and i sayed to them about the traces i got with pingplotter,(for that i used the 3 ips that are showned in
[netstats -a] and after a big discussion they sayd they would work on the problem, ( i really don't know if they did something, but whatever).
then i downloaded multiple antivirus and antispywares and stuff, (Ewido, ad-aware, spybot, xoftspy, antivir, and others...), runned them and deleted all the files wich appeared.
i got to a guildwars shortcut properties and i did [-repair]. (this was in my opinion the thing that really made it into the point)
then i reinstalled my router connection.
i think this was all.
And now it works much better, and i didn't get a single drop and i barelly lagged, i was so happy

Malware (spyware, adware, viruses, trojans, etc) are what caused your computer and connection to slow down, as those files ate bandwidth.
