Gw.exe doesn't terminate after closing game
Anyone have this happen? Been playing for almost a year (same system), and a few weeks ago this started happening...
Basically, whenever I close Guild Wars, GW.exe remains an active process. When I go to start up the game again (assuming I haven't rebooted) I get the error message that Guild Wars is already running. I have to manually kill GW.exe from Task Manager. And ideas how to resolve this? Thanks. |

This is sort of an interesting error -- some part of the GW executable isn't unloading from memory properly. I would try rebuilding your gw.dat file for a possible easy fix. If that doesn't do the trick, post back here -- my next guess would be a video card driver issue.
