What the heck do i do now.
Ok.. I keep on getting a error that shuts down my gw ..
it pops up in a lil box and says
"gw has just encounterd a serious error.. to better help fix your problem do you wish to submit a error report to anet..
and i enter some kind of mean thing like.. THIS IS THE MILLIONTH TIME THIS HAS HAPPEND.. FIX IT INSTEAD OF SITTING BACK COUNTING YOUR RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOING MONEY.
so ya that makes me feel a lil better... but i have done everything but a complete reinstall because that takes farrrrrrrrrrrrrr to long.. im talkin like 5 days of nothing to do.
so if anyone has any ideas they would be apreciated.. im gonna go get drunk
My pc specs are as follows:
Amd athlon x2 4200
2 gb corsair xms pro ram
2 geforce 6800 gt
Western digital 120 gig hard drive.
this is a break down of whats happening.. i really doubt i have faulty memory.. because i have 2gb of corsair xms pro memory.. and its damn near brand spankin new... so its not that.. i really do not wanna have to completly reinstall windows and all my drivers and the game if i can avoid it.

Do you OC your computer by any chance? I went through the same crap. What pissed me off most was that I could run prime 95 stable for weeks on end, GW was the only thing that would ever crash!
But GW is all I do anymore, really.. So I took down my OC like 300mhz and now it's ok. ~.~
Yeah.. try that if you haven't already. Also I notice we both have Corsair XMS, I hope that's not the issue. XD

Well, this happened to me once and a reinstall of GW fixed it nicely.

Sounds like a memory issue, go to www.memtest.org download the iso, (like 3mb) burn it to a CD, boot from the CD and let it test your memory, see if there's any errors... I had that with mine, and tracked it to the RAM, sent it back to corsair and they replaced it without a problem... no issues now

Can you enter the game at all? Did you try running it with -nosound?

About memory, it may have been jarred a bit in your computer so that it isn't as secure as it should be...it's hapenned to me before. So if it's a memory issue, check to make sure it's in the right slot(s) and is firmly secured.
Memtest helps, too.
Otherwise, try a reinstall. I had a problem where I couldn't even access GW, and re-downloading the client then installing from that setup fixed it. It was probably a corrupt file issue, which may or may not be your problem. So if you've verified your memory isn't an issue, a reinstall is probably your best bet.
You've said you've been waiting five days of doing nothing? A reinstall takes much less time than that...Heck, at 400 KB/s download (which is pretty fast), it only takes an hour to -image the whole game. I would know, I did that. You could download it and let -image run overnight if you wanted.

It's a bad RAM. I had an error like that with Diablo 2 for the longest time. It was also only when I loaded into a specific map area (The Catacombs warp tile) that it would occur. I did everything. I defragged, I reinstalled D2, I tried no sound, lower res. Everything I could think of. Rather than dl memtest, I pulled one stick of RAM and then swapped. I found which one was bad that way and sent it back to the manufacturer for RMA. Problem solved.
