Default Repairing Data Archive

Everytime I run GW I get the main grey window coming up says "Repairing Data Archive" before connecting to ANet and loading the game.
I tried using the contig program to defrag, but it says 1 fragment. Any ideas what is causing this? and if anyone else has a similar problem, let me know

I hate when this happens, it happens to me atleast once everyday, usually when I start guildwars for the first time of the day. Some say it is tied to your RAM because you have two different brands, but both mine are from kingston, so /shrug I hope we get an idea ofhow to fix this or prevent it. It seems to take longer with every new chapter, id hate to eventually have to wait a half hour to play guildwars, that would totally kill my want to play the game. I have tried reinstalling GW several times, tried redownloading everything, andnothing seems to work. >_>

Have you tried a different hard drive? The key word here is "data"!!!

Where do you store data? Not on your RAM.

Run Checkdisc from the system tools and check the boxes that say" automaticalyattempt to fix bad sectors". It will run on your next reboot. If it finds any errors it will let you know. Depending on the size of your harddrive it might take a bit to complete. It sounds like your drive may be failing so either replace it or get it replaced as soon as you can.
