So that means Microsoft Vista (and, not that it's relevant, 2007).
What are the implications for running Guild Wars?

Nothing, itll run GW like XP but be slower as Vista isnt so quick on the games side.

I ran vista for a few months, and I can tell you, it's pretty neat.
However, you can't print screen in GW. I tried it, I can't find the folder anywhere. Maybe they've fixed it in RTM...

This is a strange side effect of the user permissions. What's happening is that the screenshots aren't being put in c:\program files\guild wars\screens because the user doesn't have permission to write the files to there.
It's the design of the Vista security features, but it's a pain in this case. Options are to turn of the user permissions (this is what I suspect most power users will want to do), or you can set GW to always run as administrator (so then you'll have access to that folder). Then, it works great. This hit me, too, and I should have known better. :P I have no idea how discoverable this will be for users.
