My .DAT file got wiped!!!
Hey I need some help!!! Ok the other day I logged on and the update window came on so I thought oh another update..well then it said 4000+files to download!!! So I thought wow big download well after the download I logged on andd got on my main character...well when the loading screen came up it said 11000+files to be downloaded! Now any town I go to the loading screen says I have 600-10,000+files to download so I think my DAT file got corrupted! This makes me really mad because Im on slow internet and it takes forever to download 1.5+years of downloads. So my question is; is there a place i can download everything in one big download like overnight or somethin?. Please I need your help!!!
P.S. Please dont tell me im screwed!!!

u can try deleting ur dat file and use the -image switch
|

Right click on your GW shortcut Icon.
Select Properties. You should see something like "D:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe". Add -image after it. Afterwards it should look like "D:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -image. (Don't forget the space inbetween). Click the GW shortcut icon, and it should download all the files and decompress them while your dreaming about hot chicks. After it downloads everything, it will close GW by itself. Now go remove the -image, and your game should run properly. Say thank you. |

erm if gw.dat is missing why dont you just install the game again (obviously if you have nightfall, youll have the least amount to download, prophecies the most). Just an idea..

Thanks all im downloading the game the now. and say 65,000 files to go so its gonna be a while. lol well thanks all for your help.
