Ok we need a bit more info please. What kind of internet connection do you have, and at what times do you try to play the game. At certian times the game is overflowing with players hence the bad lag at those times.

I've been having the same problems with the lag lately. I have played GW for over a year now and have never hit this many lag patches before. I have a full cable in my home, so I know it's not my net since I don't have any trouble when I play BF2142.
In the last 10 minutes, I have hit 5 patches that cause me to lose connection to the server.

Try this for an experiment: open Task Manager (ctrl+shift+esc), go to the Processes tab, find gw.exe, right click on it, and see what the Priority says. If it's anything but Normal, set it to Normal or above normal.
No idea if it'll help, but when I started developing the issue, this helped (although I'm running Windows Vista so I don't know if that's causing trouble).

That is the problem I have been having for a while now Elinora, it doesn't affect my game proformance, but it really hurts a friend of mines'. For some reason the game automaticly resets the priority to low. (I have the same problem) While makes it run like crap for him. =\

I'm trying to find a way to force it to not default to low; I was playing last night, and I had to reset it 4 times. It seems to hurt some people more than others. How long has your friend been seeing the issue?
I've got a pretty high end computer so I was surprised when I started lagging out, but the other 4 computers on my network had no GW lag issues at all, via wired or wireless connections (the laggy machine is a wired connection) so that's when I got a little suspicious that network lag wasn't what was at work.
ETA: you can try this:
Edit shortcut to run:
C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe /c start "Guild Wars" /normal "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe"
(obviously alter to your specific directories if they differ)
However, I notice that every time I open Task Manager, it reverts to saying "Low"; I've figured this out now, and it's actually been discussed here before as it turns out: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/a...t-3061415.html
However, what this doesn't explain is that I clearly have less lag after bumping it up. The problem is that apps are auto-demoted when they're not in the forefront; for instance, if you open Task Manager, now GW is demoted, so we can't see what it's priority is when it's running.
I'm going to try running with an altered shortcut and see what happens tonight (I'm at work now so I can't test the theory).

GW is always runing at high-priority. It just reverts to low when you minimize to check out what it's running at in the task manager.
In-game, i.e. when you're actually playing it's running at high-priority. Run it via 2 monitors, one displaying the game and the other having the task manager displayed and you'll see.

this has been stated MANY times before. When GW is running on full screen or window mode, it will be set to a normal or high priority, however, when it is minimized or something similar, the priority will be automatically set to low to reduce stress on the machine
just open up task manager and set it where you can see the priority and run GW in windowed mode it should say normal

No, actually I cant, because the cursor wont go beyond the edge of the GW screen. Did you mean to run GW windowed, as l)l2UNl( has said?

In Task Manager you can click on Processes tab, go to View>Select Columns, check the Base Priority checkbox. This will create a new column all the way to the right that will show the priority each process is running at. Makes it a bit easier to see when GW changes priority, if you have it in windowed mode.

For your video card driver use what the manufacturer has at their website. My laptop uses the same one as you have and it doesnt work well with the Omega Drivers.
