The only thing that's really better than a 7900 is an 8800. Good luck finding one and finding the funds to pay for it, though.

Chuck is right, there is not many cards out there better than the 7900 that you have now. If you realy want to switch out your card ty an ATI x1950 to see if the problem persists. If that doesn't fix it then something else is causing the problem and not the graphics card (might try a low priced card first to see if the problem is related to graphics, most of the ATI and the Nvidea cards use the same drivers from either ATI or Nvidea). There is a post about problems since the last update your might chck it out to see if you are having that one also. If so then it is not the card but something else.

I got 8800 gts 2 weeks ago and im very happy with it =) gw runs with perfect quality @ 16AAQ +16 AF and other extras with around 250/300 fps and looks awesome.
I recommend 8800 series if you got the cash.

Can you describe the "graphics problem?"
My laptop runs GW with an Nvidia 7900GTX-512, 1900x1200, all settings maxxed, 60fps w/ vsync on.

Buy a SLI 6800 GT? Should be pretty much the same price as one 8800, assuming you don't want another 7900.

The Ati cards in that price range wipe the floor with it, and in some tests, an X1950 XTX can take even an 8800, at the right resolutions.
Besides, not to tout fanboyism, but this is an ATi optimized game we're talking about. I would go with an X1900 or X1950 if you're replacing now, or the 8800, either way.
Bout the only way you're gonna get better...

Only 2 cards are the 7950 (2 gpu per cards) and the 8800 but I honestly would go with 8800 due to native DX 10 support. Ati has yet to put out there DX 10 cards.
This is assuming you won't be upgrading to 2nd gen high end dx10 cards a soon as they come out, I envy you, I wish I had that kinda money.
I dislike Ati, I like there cards but there driver / mmc software is worse then nvidia software. They improved a lot over time .. but I still feel there not on par.

Even with the "buggy" software, their hardware smacks hard pwnage on nVidia. Go look at the ORB if you're in doubt. This isn't opinion, it's quantifiable fact. ATi has also had superior image quality for years and years (back since the 9x00 days, as a matter of fact) and that, coupled with good midrange performance, is what keeps me recommending them these days.
I'm looking at a CrossFire setup for meself for Christmas, if I get the cash. That shows confidence in ATi, no?

Forget about DX10 cards for now, the cost too much and there's not going to be a DX10 game anytime soon anyway.
But each to their own.
I would recommend this ATI card... great value for money and only £150. It's the card I currently use.

In my earlier post here I was only trying to help out with his problem. But if he is wanting to replace his old card with a new one I also must recommend the ATI video cards. If you go on a price performance issue, then the ATI cards win hands down. ATI has gotten their drivers under control and the avivo technology is simply aw inspiring.
